In my opinion, the voice of Dan completes the voice of Liam, and vice versa. They need each other. This is the real WATO

Everytime I listen to these guys I hear a different sound from Liam. I'm getting a big He is Legend vibe from this one.

has anyone else noticed that WATO and Deaf Havana are pretty much the same band? they both started as underground five-piece post-hardcore groups, then the screamer left when they started getting more popular, and theyre two of the biggest upcoming UK rock bands, and they now both have deals on american record labels. im not complaining by the way, theyre both awesome :)

This is fucking brilliant! I love it! In a way I'm Sort of glad Dan left because we get to hear more of Liam's amazing voice, I am going to miss Dan though his vocals sort of made them unique in a way.

Liam has an incredible voice and I love that he's getting chance to truly show it off.
This is a great song, and I'm glad that the band is getting more exposure- if you're a true fan of someone, you would want them to be heard by more people, not just you on your shitty hipster iPod with other music you'll stop listening to just because more people listen to it too.

This song lacks Dan Brown...but oh well, i still love WATO and i'll always support them no matter what.
Loads of underground bands are playing on radio 1 such as while she sleeps and there hardly sell outs aha, and personally I prefer WATO now sound so much tighter music wise hence the air time.
I was thinking that when I heard about Dan leaving. I thought about how much I was going to miss Ryan when he left but DH are doing great so I know WATO will too :)
why is everyone so scared of a band being mainstream.. who cares? their still good. even if they are im pretty sure We Are The Ocean aren't up for rapping and dub-step in the next album...

Wow this is awesome! Umm...honestly I don't know much about this Dan leaving thing; but when I heard this bands' stuff before, I was like 'meh' but this song's cool; the riff and the singer sound good (:
you are clearly oblivious to the commercial side of the music industry then..? Gallows are the only british 'hardcore' band to have got a deal above a million and got dropped after a few months. It doesn't sell, de facto, and putting it into perspective, I went to see ETID when I was 14, the show was rammed, everybody loved it! Went to see them on their last tour 4 years later, the same venue wasn't even half full.

I didnt say there was anything wrong with it going mainstream..... I was only saying that they arn't 'TRYING' to go mainstream by changing their sound. It would be awesome to get some Rock bands in there id love that!
gutted about dan.....he always seemed like the one with the most personality and drive within the band and even though in the last album he didnt scream he still had an amazingly different singing voice!
WATO without dan will be devestating but at the same time im sure the band will still be amazing!!

Liam comes across as quite shy which makes me think that he wont be a cery good front man but he will probably get used to it with time. And when Ryan left Deaf Havana everyone was saying that they cant see how they will work, but obviously it turned out great for them
yeah but the reason we are the ocean were successful to begin with wasdue to how the fans enjoyed the different sounds harmonising in their music it doesn't matter if you think he is mediocre and has no technique.

Just because they got played on BBC Radio 1 doesnt mean they are TRYING to go mainstream.... There are quite a few rock songs that get played on BBCR1 that arn't mainstream.....

they might do what deaf havana did and change the old songs so they can fit with just clean vocals
I think they are very brave to continue without Dan, They obviously knew people would have something to say about it and personally I'll never stop loving them no matter what they do.
Wouldn't bother me, I love Deaf Havanas' new album shows they can carry on strong as a four-piece. And hopefully WATO will turn out the same, if not better. Still kinda sad the screamers left though :(
Off course it's different without Dan. But i gotta say i really dig this sound. Guess there's two parts of wato now and i think both are awesome. Exited about the new album.
