Lowhead Dam Removal on Greenlick Run, a Tributary to Jacobs Creek

Greenlick Run is an Exceptional Value coldwater stream in Bullskin Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania and is a tributary to Jacobs Creek.
As part of our mission to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, the Jacobs Creek Watershed Association (JCWA) oversaw the demolition of this historic lowhead dam on Greenlick Run on 8/8/2022. Removal of this dam will improve connectivity within the stream channel, eliminating fish passage barriers and reducing sediment buildup.
