Hello!
Thank you for all of the support in our first week!
This is one of my all time favourite films and I couldn't wait to see Jamie's reaction to this one.
I knew she would laugh all the way through.
I am trying to do a good variety of films as we start off on the channel but we have seen all the comments about it and will be sure to watch the John Wick sequels as well!
Hope you enjoy the reaction as much as I did editing it.
#firsttimewatching #pulpfiction #tarantino #moviereaction
See you soon! - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Any woman who can laugh so much through this movie is a keeper!
And say it’s one of her favs! 🏆🥇👍🏻
Kudos to the guy in the video. A lot of people have trouble not spoiling a movie they've seen. He kept his mouth shut and let her react.
I had the same thought. I haven’t seen other videos by these reactors but is that dude on the left faded af or is that just his personality?
Kept his mouth shut but his eyes…..😂😂😂
And one of few reactors who could eat and watch a movie at the same time! lol
Great observation! I have a friend I absolutely refuse to watch movies with. Even when he doesn't shout the punchline or give away an important plot point, he insists on "giving a hint" as to what will happen. Jesus, I'm not a fucking idiot, his hint stll gives away everything. Good work keeping the trap shut.
Looks like he’s indulged in some high quality THC products to me. 👍🤩
A key element in the drug deal is that the dealer has no balloons to pack the heroin. He puts it in a baggie, which is what cocaine is sold in
In case this bit of trivia has not been mentioned:
The BAD MOTHERFUCKER
wallet was Tarantino’s actual wallet. Imagine this cat just walking around in real life with that wallet!!
Before he began directing Tarantino wrote the screenplay for a movie named "True Romance" that you'd like. Gary Oldman, Christian Slater, James Gandolfini and others.
There is no wasted time in this film. Every shot, every scene, every word contributes to the flow.
Another interesting observation is how Vincent is repeatedly shown going to the bathroom. Regular opioid/heroin use induces constipation (also addressed in an infamous scene in Trainspotting). In several scenes, Vincent misses important developments while in the bathroom, such as the restaurant robbery, and it ultimately led to his death at Butch's house.
Three things that are found in all Tarantino films are great dialogue, great action, and great music.
11:43 **four things
except for QT's last movie. A very overrated p.o.s.
Jackie brown. The underrated gem. His second best movie after Pulp fiction i think. Very different from his other movies but still very Tarantino.
I love Jackie brown I’ll be showing her it soon!
Yes, yes, yes - my favorite Tarantino.
I'd say Jackie Brown is almost on a par with Pulp Fiction. It's not quite as amusing in dialogue, but just as involving and clever . Other than those two, I didn't care that much for a few of the other Tarantino films I've seen.
Jackie brown is considered to be one of the best films of the 90s so it’s not underrated
I read on a youtube comment that when Butch is going into his apartment to go get the watch, the newscaster on the radio (on the background sound) is talking about the prize of the dance contest being stolen the night before (apparently Vicent&Mia didn´t really win it). I have not yet been able to confirm that myself though.
I really like the vibe you two have going on!
Thank you!
Ita great seeing a happy couple laughing.. god bless all the best
The thing in the case is what Hitchcock called the MacGiffin. A MacGuffin is something that drives the plot and action of the characters but is completely inconsequential to the film itself.
The board games operation and life in the shot of mia dying 🤣
The dialog is entertaining but it's also meaningful. For example, Lance the drug dealer tells Vincent that he's out of balloons and only has baggies for the heroin. It's dialogue that's easy to ignore but it's why Mia thinks the heroin is cocaine. Marcellus is talking to Butch early on, telling him to forget his pride. What happens to Marcellus and his pride? Vincent needlessly insults Butch early on in the movie. What happens to Vincent later?
Marcellus and his pride. Depends some the person. That's men way of thinking. Plenty of women had theirs taken away through the same experience and powers through it
@@LifeisANovelHow is it 'the same experience'? Maybe if Marcellus was gay...
Nice insight. Many thanks.
@@LifeisANovel Context matters. Marcellus is the leader, the BOSS. There is nothing in the movie that indicates he is anything other than straight. The guy who rapes him is white, and Marcellus is black. All this adds up to Marcellus's pride might not be affected? Really?
I always like reactions to the pawnshop segment 😂 its so brutal and random. Also, the song during the unfortunate act is called "Comanche" by The Revels.
Interested Tidbit: The actress who played the Drug Dealers Pierced GF is the older sister of the actress who is Alabama, the GF in True Romance.
Rosanna Arquette and Patricia Arquette respectively.
The scene with Vincent and Mia at the diner wasn’t a real diner. The whole thing was built in a movie studio for the movie.
the mayonnaise bit early on matches beautifully with the catch-up FF5 joke later
I was in high school when this came out. It is impossible to describe just how fucking big this film was back in the day. It was the coolest thing in the world for at least 2 years before SCREAM came out.
In the States we say "right up my alley"; I've never heard "right up my street" until today.
Great reaction! My favorite Tarantino film is Once Upon a Time In Hollywood. I haven't seen a good reaction with it because people are watching it without knowing the history of Charles Manson and the story of Sharon Tate. Without that information, the story doesn't hit as hard. I couldn't stop crying at the end...
I look forward to you going through his films!!!
33:51
That “Seinfeld” cameo was unhinged!😂
43:10 : that's why I call Tarantino the Pressure Cooker. He's such a master at creating tense situations.
very good very good.. thanks. great reaction
This is the only movie I saw multiple times in the theater. The show turned into kill Bill.
"Inglorious Basterds" and " goodfellas" would be my picks based on your comments.
Great start to your reaction journey:) Excited to see what's next ❤
Hey, brother! Glad to see you're still out there.
Can't believe you haven't seen Natural Born Killers tho. Really need to work on that, man. Also, Four Rooms and Battle Royale (not Tarantino but a must-watch for Tarantino fans; try the special edition if you can find it).
Some of my personal favorites: Robocop, Scarface, Silence of the Lambs, Apocalypse Now, Akira, 12 Monkeys, Fargo, Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Tropic Thunder, The Princess Bride, Hot Tub Time Machine, Tombstone, A Few Good Men, Braveheart, Good Will Hunting, Leaving Las Vegas, Snowpiercer, Who Framed Rojer Rabbit?, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Ghostbusters, Quick Change, The Ref, The Last Boy Scout, Cabin Boy, The Negotiator, Club Paradise (just to clarify, this movie is TERRIBLE but an absolute blast, if that makes sense), John Carpenter's The Thing, Ju-On, Evil Dead 2. Welcome Jamie, and good luck with the channel!
Thank you Christopher! Good to see you.
That is a beauty of a list, Ill run it by her and see what shes seen!
I love Reservoir, possibly more even than this. And I would recommended that as the introduction. Despite my first comment, PF really sees an expansion of Tarantino's ambition and filmmaking
That was a fun watchalong with you both, so thank you for that. Keep it up!
Seeing how you got into Mia Wallace so much I would love if you did Kill Bill next ;)
Thanks for watching along! Yeah I reckon Kill Bill will have to come next because I really want to see how she reacts to it.
Nice reaction, thank you! And very good choice of movies. Looking forward to see more with you.
Thank you too!
Suggestion: I don't see many people reacting to Takeshi Kitano movies. Along with Tarantino, he made me fall in love with gangster movies in the 90s.
Great reaction. Very well done. Hello from western North Carolina. I love British accents. 😎
Deathproof...an underrated 💎 gem
I couldn’t agree more.
Nah ..this one's by far better
@@dimitrakapa4887 he didn't say it was better , he just said it was underrated!!!! Obviously u havn't seen all this guys films if you're going to compare one of Tarantino's best like PF to his worst which is still good regardless of it's shitty moments😒
Asoka Tano & Hera Sebdula are in Deathproof.
Lol
Nice reaction guys! Great movie!
I never noticed before that Vincent took the book from the coffee shop bathroom as he left.
George Lucas has "Bad Mother Fucker" engraved on Samuel L. Jackson's lightsaber.
One running joke is that whenever something important happens, Vince is always in the bathroom. When Mia overdoses, when Butch returns, when the diner robbery starts. A further theory is that he’s always in there because he’s a heroin addict so he’s always constipated.
Why would we hate you for that? The fewer Tarantino movies you’ve already seen, the more reactions we get to enjoy. It all works out for the best.
I also have a joke theory that the briefcase has Academy Awards in it. That’s how you get actors to react to what’s in it like that. Figuratively, it did have one in it.
I have an answer for Ringo as well about why robbing a place like that wouldn’t usually be a good idea. Realistically, there’s likely to be cops coming in at any time to grab some coffee, and maybe a bite to eat. The fact that there weren’t already two or three cops (on or off duty) sitting in there is something of a surprise to me.
I like how Vincent is venting to Lance the drug dealer about how someone keyed his car. He’s essentially complaining about a scratch when later that night, he crashes the car into Lance’s house. Suddenly the car isn’t as important
Ryan, I recently watched an interview with Tarantino where he said the case contents were not revealed so that everyone making up their own mind about the contents makes the film unique to everyone watching it.
React to Casablanca and the Maltese Falcon. Casablanca is the greatest love story laid on film.
Loved the reaction y'all.
As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
Hows it going mate! ah yeah that makes sense, and cool! they are both ones we haven't seen yet
@@MovieNightReactionChannel Trust me; you will be amazed when you watch those two. I believe I have watched every Bogart film and I have never seen a bad one. He makes them great with his portrayal always being the winner.
Again, y'all be safe.
nice reaction! this movie is a classic and holds up really well. I remember seeing it in the theater and having to sneak in because I wasn't old enough for the r-rating. it's tarantino's best movie imo. looking forward to seeing more reactions
Enjoyed your reaction. Look forward to reaction to other Tarantino films. You being so young I can't help wonder what your reaction to 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' would be. The movie has so many references to events and things way before your time that I can't help wonder whether you would catch them.
This was my first reaction watch to your channel. Kuddo's to the guy (sorry, didn't make out the name at the beginning). for understanding what guys look for in a reaction video of a couple, which is the girls reaction. Girls always give better reactions than guys do, and Jamie didn't disappoint. The video focused more on her reaction. I have subscribed and look forward to more vids !!!
Ryan, you're the man. Looking forward to more videos with you guys!
Thank you!
The wallet used in the movie was Quinton’s go figure
I've seen this movie a half a dozen times...but I just noticed when Mia was overdosing and they're trying to revive her the boardgames were Operation and Life.... Operation Life ... Tarantino's attention to detail is second to none.
You have the responsability to watch ALL TARANTINO MOVIES alongside with her
Let her watch Die Hard around Christmas time 😉
Vincent's brother is one of the characters in Reservoir Dogs, Vic Vega/Mr. Blonde played by Michael Madsen.
Vincent was originally meant for Madsen to play, but he couldn't do it because he was busy filming Wyatt Earp at the time.
Daniel Day-Lewis was also considered as Vincent & he even did an audition.
Bruce Willis originally wanted to play Vincent, but Tarantino had already promised that role for John Travolta so Willis accepted the role of Butch instead, which was originally meant for Mickey Rourke, but he turned it down because he didn't understand the script (and considering his career was on the sh*tter in the 90's, him turning this movie down was a huge mistake!)
My absolute Fav Tarantino film! Followed closely by Jackie Brown.
Oh my god! I just found this channel! I already know your other channel, WatchMeMovie! Great seeing you over here, you're both great reactors and I LOVE the fact that she has all these classic Tarantino movies to see! I'm excited for her to see......all of 'em! (I don't like Hateful 8, you can skip that one, lol). And the same for Scorsese! And anything else! I remember you did a great reaction to "An American Werewolf In London" on your other channel; would love to see HER reaction to that one!!! This was so much fun! Definitely subscribed!
Hi tictoc! Good to see you over here! Thank you for subscribing. Ooh if she hasn’t seen it we might do it for the Halloween month
Another part of the Marcellus' soul theory is the bandage on the back of his neck.
I've seen this movie a million times before....and I never noticed the platform heels on display in the drug dealing room. That's why I love reaction channels! And best reaction ever to Mia Wallace's Fox Force Five joke! Plus: you guys were eating McDonalds during this! Brilliant! Definitely put Casino on the list, agreed about that! Other Scorsese: The King Of Comedy (1982), After Hours (1985) and Cape Fear (1991) all need way more reactions, those are three of his absolute best! And then of course Taxi Driver and Raging Bull are next to Goodfellas as the "giants" of his filmography. But dying to see more reactions to King Of Comedy, After Hours and Cape Fear!
Neither of us have seen kings of comedy, we both love taxi driver and goodfellas, she hasnt seen the others!
But yeah we will fit em in thanks again!
@@MovieNightReactionChannel Definitely watch King of Comedy, it's amazing.
A further nod to the famous Tarantino foot-fetish?
@@pasteye1671 Either that, or his 70s fetish. (or a little of both)
Great reaction. Ryan! You look high as hell. 😂 subscribed
"Don't hate me" of course not, now we know we can enjoy your first reactions 😃
Aww I have truly missed out but that’s very true, you can join me on my Tarantino journey 😁 thank you for watching!
Another bit of trivia is Vincent and Mia dont win the dance contenst. If you listen to the radio when Butch gets out of the taxi the news reports the trophy was stolen. So they lost and stole the trophy.
29:28 some of the best work I've seen in reaction videos. lol
Y’all check out his directorial debut, Reservoir Dogs.
Marcellus has a band aid on his neck. It’s probably where his soul was removed from
Love the edit
21:06 I love that you two actually did take a break to go get yourselves some tasty burgers after she expressed craving a burger watching the apartment scene with Jules.
46:49 Have you ever noticed at the beginning of the film in the diner scene that Vincent can be seen walking away from the camera in the background? He's on his way to the restroom after his discussion with Jules. So, we get a glimpse of him before he's officially introduced. That's something else I think is pretty cool.
49:17 One film I would recommend watching in the future is _The Road_ from 2009. In my opinion, it's a really good film that hardly anyone has reacted to from what I've seen. It's based on a novel and it also heavily influenced one of my favorite games of all-time, _The Last of Us._
The drug dealer was the first Marty McFly in Back to the Future before it was recast.
"They won!"
Not so much. During Butch's segment, a news broadcast mentions the trophy was stolen from Jack Rabbit Slim's. :)
If she hasn't seen yet, some good reactions would be 'Fight Club', 'Seven', original 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and 'Exorcist'.
I’ve seen all except Texas Chainsaw, Seven is one of my favourite films!
By the sounds of her saying she really wanted to see "what's in the box?!" near the end, I took her for already having seen Seven ("Se7en"?).
Edit: @45:17
it was Butch who keyed Vincent's car
This was so fun, you guys are awesome! I'm glad to see you back Ryan, and Jamie is really charming and funny.👍👍
Thank you Alan glad you enjoyed it!
When she points the literal handgun at Vincent well point a real one at Jules is pretty funny….also when Jules tells Vincent to shut up during the stand off diner scene and honeybunny says shut up to 😂
They actually did not win the Twist contest. While Bruce Willis is going back to his apartment to get the watch you can just barely hear a radio show in the background, and you can hear them talking about how the Trophy from Jack Rabbit Slims was stolen. Butch going to get his watch takes place after Vincent and Mia's night out, so it would make sense that they were talking about Mia and Vincent stealing the trophy and it would totally make sense for those two characters that they would take it.
I mentioned this to Jamie in the full reaction but I forgot to look out for it even when I mentioned the sound design of that segment 🙄
Can you really? Or have you just read about it? That's one of those fake trivias because you can only hear an ad saying "...visit the Jack Rabit Slims..."
cool reaction, thanks
I think this my fav tarrentino. Django is a close second.
Please do more reactions.
Bad Times at the El Royale is great.
New to your channel. This movie was my first experience with Quentin Tarantino. I went to the theater blind, not knowing what this was going to be about. I was blown away. I’ve watched every single thing he’s ever done now. True Romance is definitely one of my favorite movies. New sub and look forward to more of y’all’s content!
It’s well known that Tarantino has a foot fetish. That’s why Mia is barefoot and probably why those platform shoes were on the walls. Lol
Wow idve loved to see it at the cinema back then but I was only ten.
Haha I kept the foot fetish thing to myself, I was interested to see how many of his films she would watch before thinking something was up
Samuel Jackson got nominated for a best supporting Oscar for his role in this; EVERYONE believes he got ripped off when they gave it to Martin Landau (for Ed Wood), as Landau was near the end of his life, and basically everyone thought he was ripped off earlier in life on another movie role. Sucks, cuz Sam Jackson truly deserved the Oscar for this...
11:05 made me laugh! Mia looking like Winona Ryder in BeetleJuice is a good shout! never noticed before but bang on! "transitional period" will never fail to amuse me!
looking forward to seeing Jamies journey through Tarantinos films! nice to hear fellow Yorkshire accents!
Mad Max Fury Road is one i always suggest. i dont usually like action films as explosions dont impress me... i prefere a clever dialogue. but Fury Road is on another level. and im a sucker for steampunk stuff.
Dead Mans Shoes
Shawshank Redemption
Forrest Gump
Side Effects
Empire of the Sun
Cheers for the comment from gods own county! And for the recommendations!
@@MovieNightReactionChannel youre welcome. another, largly unheard of, film i like is Hyena. about bent coppers in London.
The show that Mia was going to be in was Fox Force Five. Three "F's". In the alphabet it's the 6th letter. soooo 6.6.6
Tarantino later did make 2 movies based on Mia's pilot show Fox Force Five, they're Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2 and they're also starred Uma Thurman as the lead.
Please consider watching ‘Dr. Strangelove’ ‘Team America World Police’
Enjoyed this reaction, thanks

4:30..Samoans are some naturally big dudes..Gotta be at least 50 of 'em playing in the NFL! 22:45..Walken's so funny while being so straight- I've seen his SNL skits and they are flat-out LOL. 35:22" "I used the same stuff, and my towel don't look no used Maxi-Pad!" Bet Jackson improved that one..great dialog /script...Nice to see Butch get a happy ending, and Fun watching Jules school those two yutzes in the resturaunt.! My 2nd fav line was Marcellous ordering his thugs: " If that mo-fo goes to Indochina, I want someone waiting in a bowl of rice to cap his azz" Fun reactions..The movie still holds up today for sure!!
Nice reaction! 🌈🙌💞
Death Proof is a very underrated movie. I would recommend the Grindhouse Double feature Blu-ray that features Planet Terror and Death Proof. Meant to be seen in one sitting as in the cinema. Planet Terror has an audiotrack with the cinema audience, and Death Proof is a different cut. It also features trailers and intermission commercials. It's a great experience imo.
Jackie Brown is also underrated.
Neither of us has seen Deathproof or planet terror so we will get round to it thanks for commenting!
@@MovieNightReactionChannelSee if you can find the actual Grindhouse movie with not only Death Proof & Planet Terror, but also the fake trailers Machete by Robert Rodriguez, Thanksgiving by Eli Roth, Don't by Edgar Wright, Werewolf Women of the SS by Rob Zombie & Hobo With A Shotgun by Jason Eisner.
Great to see a couple of northerners doing a reaction . Just great 😊
Cheers to you Brian!
When Butch stops at the door of the pawn shop and considers whether to go back and save Marcellus, on the wall there is the confederate flag and the US flag. The confederate flag represented the rebellious states that fought to preserve slavery during the US civil war. In the scene, the confederate flag is closer to the door, implying, "just leave, and leave the black man to his fate." The US flag is away from the door, implying, "save him."
I like Vincent too. He has Ted Bundy’s charm. And a killer wit. 😂
Nice reaction!
Lesson to any Idiots out there:
21:14 is NOT racist. I've seen many woke Idiots not understand and cry it to be. That scene (like many in life) May be considered by some who recognize accents as "RACIAL", but *not* racist. It is a beautiful voice and image. ❤🙏🏾✌🏾
Reservoir Dogs is still my favorite, Inglorious bastards is second.
Vega’s car was keyed by Butch
some of my favorite films guaranteed to garner reaction: everything, everywhere all at once, your name (dubbed ok), a silent voice (non-dubbed), in the company of men, "fresh" from 1994 not 2022 movie of the same name- the latter two are somewhat obscure so neither of you have probably seen them. while you'll get infinite suggestions of typical classics or blockbuster hollywood fare, i hope you branch out to artistic independent visions. they are meaningful and worthwhile.
You 2 have something to work out, with one saying, "Vinny's just like u!" to the other... I think the 2 men have one thing in common -- they both look stoned! (As am I.)
Thanx for the reaction from a new subber.
Quentin Tarantino also wrote the movie from dusk till dawn
22:20 - I think it’s fair to say that watch has been through some $hit.
24:05 - Also, I thought it was the other way around. Guess I’ve got a lot to learn. 😂
As far as Bruce Willis movies, 'Last Man Standing' is a must-watch, but you said you haven't seen 'Die Hard', so you probably should start with that.
Yeah she needs to see die hard first but neither of us has seen last man standing cheers!
you gotta see Natural Born Killers. it's awesome.
If you want a favorite film that no one remembers, "To Kill a Mockingbird" is one. It's from the early sixties.
Jessa and Luke enjoyed:D
Aw thank you for watching im glad you both enjoyed! 😊x
Y'all should add:
Ready or not
Happy Death Day
Scouts Guide To Surviving The Apocalypse
The Final Girls
Scream(franchise)
They are good movies, good Halloween movies and are horror but not actually that scary.
A trivia question... did Mia and Vincent win the dance competition? Answer... no. A report on the radio can be heard that the trophy had been stolen.
No, it can't. That's just an advertisement. "Visit Jack Rabbit Slim's"
What do you mean "He's such a Vince"? I took that personally lol.
I think that was before Quentin Tarantino started directing
Save Die Hard for christmass. Best christmass film ever.
