I love your videos as they are super helpful to me - I am moving to Austin by the end of this year! I know two of the neighborhoods to live in, but I’m not sure if I should contact you because I’m not buying. I’m just wondering what is the difference between living on south Lamar and east austin (specifically, near east 6th street). When I visited we stayed near east 6th and I love the walkability to restaurants and bars. I have a dog and I want to be able to walk him/take him with me to restaurants/bars during the day. I used to do this while living in Charlotte, NC and I want that again. But I’ve heard south Lamar is walkable as well, I just can’t decide which one to live in. While I know I’ll need a car to get between the two if I live in one area and want to see/go out in the other area, so it’s making it a harder choice which neighborhood to choose. I guess it depends on safety (granted there is crime in every city and I know ATX is a pretty “safe” city)… But just in general for a single female I’d like to know the safety, and then also the difference in the “feel” or “vibe” of the two neighborhoods, the amount of restaurants/bars near me, and the neighborhood that will have more people my age (I just turned 30). If I can contact you, just let me know. But didn’t want to jump the gun since I’m not buying a house at this time 😅
