AQUEON Filter/Cartridge LED and battery placement

Hello all! Sorry I had trouble pronouncing the brand name Aqueon. But this is one of the things that the manual should state specifically when setting up the batteries properly.
Is it time for a filter change? What is this led light really for? And how should I properly place the batteries? Watch the video.

Thank you SO much for doing this. I just bought this and the batteries fell out, so I had no idea which way they should go. There is no + or - indicator. And LOVE the idea of testing with the knife! You rock!!!

Thank you so much!! Terrible instruction manual and tech support was closed for the next few days. I wish you could have filmed the battery insertion and orientation for extra clarification. My batteries had big + signs on the flat side that you said was negative. But trial and error with the butter knife was so helpful! I had no clue I could do that. Thanks again.

Just just get a fish aquarium is 10 gallon so I forget to look at the instructions about the battery part and I ended up throwing away I told the paper away Orlando Torres video you're actually supposed to keep the paper on I hope that still works

I think the light is more for new fish owners. Experienced fish owners don't need a light to tell them when its time to change their filter, because they know when to change it out. I clean my filter out once every week and change the filter itself once every month. I'll probably never see my light turn on.

Yes you are right! It is a good indicator if you're just starting out with this new hobby, until you get to establish your schedule.

Positive is the side with no writing and then the writing side is negative?

The positive is the Skinner side I believe. Both mine are facing left inside with the connectors facing down n it works if u understand how I'm explaining

Positive side is the flat side
