J.S. Bach - BADINERIE from Suite No. 2 in B minor BWV 1067 (Organ Solo)

- Recording dating back to the year 1993 -
In this video I am playing my organ transcription of the Badinerie by J.S. Bach - seventh movement of the Suite n° 2 in B minor BWV 1067 - which I performed as an encore during one of my first organ concerts, held on May 21st 1993, in the parish church of San Marcellino, Envie (IT).
This event was particularly significant because it preceded my final Conservatory graduation by a few weeks.
Since then, the way of sharing one's experiences, in this case musical, has changed exponentially, thanks to the development of increasingly high-performance technology that has allowed to immortalize, archive and distribute multiple performances.
Special thanks to Piergiorgio Neyret for kindly taking care of the video recording (VHS).
For capturing the audio track I’ve used my Sennheiser K3U + ME80 microphones connected to the Aiwa HD-s1 DAT recorder.
The instrument is a Ponziano Bevilacqua organ, equipped with 2 keyboards and pedal, with electromechanical transmission (mechanical for the manuals/pedal and electric for the stops).
