      All good homie, thanks for joining us on the ride. Your support is always appreciated Weldon. I'm really delayed with my replies on the channel at the moment because of my work schedule. I hope it gets better in the next couple of weeks cus I'm dying lol.
      Thanks man. I'm glad the night footage is finally starting to get dialed in. I was so self conscious when I did that first night video with my new settings for the Two Wheel Tuesday Meet in October because I wasn't fully done dialing in the settings. Looking back at it I'm happy I did it anyways even though I wasn't 100% happy with it because I've been able to dial it in the last 4 months!

      thanks for joining us again Reuben! Yea, in NYC we gotta be ready for those brake checks and random mopeds doing crazy things.
      I gotta do just a night cruise when it gets warmer. It's been a while since I've just gotten on my scooter or bike and just ridden with out a destination in mind. Those are always therapeutic especially because the roads are fairly clear after 11pm.

      @eyebahnrides  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks for joining us for these rides Khan! Sorry for the really delayed response. The long hours at work have been making it really difficult to keep up with CZcams. After 10+ hours, I tend to just get home and crash!
      I was hoping it would diversify the full commutes a little. As part of my work and some of the side projects my wife and I have, I have to meet with friends/ clients/ contractors to pick up or drop off things like samples, swatches, proofs etc. I used to avoid these since I didn't want to sound like one of those NYers thats "team no days off" with 100000 side hustles lol. But I realized I can record the ride between sites with out having to really discuss the details. Even though people love seeing the same routes, I'm personally enjoying the diversity of routes nowadays lol.

    i've made it all the way to the end. i just leave these videos on while i'm working, cause i ride a dinky little segway and live vicariously through these videos. lol. how often do you actually get to go top speed and how do you decide when you're going to ride the klima vs. the mojave??

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks for joining us for this ride as well Ghost! I appreciate you watching to the end and I'm glad the POV experience can help lol! Honestly, I rarely get to top speed on the Klima. There are very few sections in my commute that allow me the opportunity to push the scooter safely. Generally, there's just too much congestion and/ or dangerous road conditions to do it consistently. 90% of my riding is done between 15-32mph.
      As for deciding between the Scooter and the S73, the scooter is my default daily commuter. The reasons are actually pretty stupid lol. The scooter is the daily because it's much easier to clean when it gets dirty from the nasty road conditions (i just hose it down at the gas station), its IP rating makes it usable in the wet, it's smaller profile makes it easier to navigate the tight spaces in my apartment building/ office building, and finally it doesn't attract as much confrontational energy from the anti PEV people in my apartment building.
      I love riding the S73 and I wish I could do it more. I'm sure if I had my own home with my own garage and didn't have to worry about stupid people, my time between the pevs would be more like 40% nami/ 40% s73/ 20% eboard instead of 70% nami/ 20% s73/ 10% eboard. My hope is one day the channel can get to the point that it allows me to rent a garage with a small office so that I can store my personal PEVs and store PEVs that I'm going to review🙏🏼!

    Awesome lights! I see you too get the “T” formation. I was hoping to find a light with a longer throw to turn it into a “+”
    Can you spot road hazards easily going say, 25-30 mph at night?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Před 7 měsíci

      Thanks for joinining us for this ride Jonathan! The combination of the stock light and the Gemini Titan makes for great visibility. I can get a + formation if I actually aimed the lights up and it projects quite far. Since I was going in and out of the bike lanes, I ended up pointing the Gemini Titan pretty low so that people don't get blinded. When I used to use that light on the Burn E and I was staying in traffic more, I could aim it up so that it projects further. Even with the reduced range from the angle, I can still spot road hazards well. Of course it's much easier to see if I actually pointed it up more.

    Love the night footage!!! Looking at the Fluid website, I kinda wish I knew and got the Klima instead of the Segway P100S. I always wonder if you know ahead what street to avoid so you don't deal with the potholes. My scooter doesn't go as fast as a Klima (Mine goes up to 30 mph) but I see myself going 25 or a little under just because I'm looking down at the street. I think the only time I go fast is if I'm on the Manhattan or BK bridge.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Před 7 měsíci

      thanks for joining us for this ride and I'm glad you enjoyed the night footage! I've been dialing it in over the last couple of months and I'm finally happy with it. The next step in the night footage is to get a better camera lol. I usually only go quicker when I know the road. Having ridden on the streets of NYC for decades, I have a good idea of the conditions of the road on the streets that I've ridden on. I'm much more cautious and conservative in places that I'm riding for the first time. Also, we don't have much opportunity to safely go fast in the city because of all the congestion anyway so I just stay extra aware when in a new area!

  • @NunchucksHabit
    @NunchucksHabit Před 7 měsíci +1

    VERY nice lights on that Klima, Ivan! Thought I was the only one with heated gloves...
    My ride (until a mid spring upgrade) is a '23 Apollo Phantom, which I can't use due to Canadian winter.
    I'm always a bag of questions, some of which might have been answered in other videos, so in case you have the time, always appreciated. I pick on you because of how many miles you've put in, in a very busy city with some nasty roads.
    1. Does that lower light 'rack' on the Klima's lower stem get very hot? Is it steady, can you aim it easily? I supplement my 1k lumen light on my Phantom with a 2.5k lumen handlebar mounted light. I had to mount it high so it doesn't burn through my regen-brake cables. For some reason, despite being LED, it gets really hot. Too many potholes & I've only got 10" tires so I need to improve lighting but to keep it aimed down so I don't blind others.
    2. Have you compared the Apollo Pro to the Klima & the Burn-E2? I know you've partnered up with Fluid Free Ride & I'm reliable in my opinion that the Nami brand is the industry leader. On paper, the Klima is comparable to my Phantom V3, but at $800 more, the Klima edges the Phantom no doubt.
    The Apollo Pro, at about $3300 USD, competes with the Burn-E2. Not pitting brand vs brand here, only the model. As a customer doing research, I see the Pro as competing with the Burn-E2. I can't claim any superiority of the Apollo Pro over the Burn-E2 in any ride or range or performance stats, but a few things about it appeal to me, such asApollo being Canadian (local for me, easier to get parts/support/shipping - but yeah, it's made in China). It weighs only 93lbs, has 12" self healing tires, is IP66 rated, handlebar mounted signal lights, 360 lighting - good for nasty spring weather. It's got 44mph/60mile range stats.
    IF YOU WERE ME (in Canada, looking to upgrade my Phantom, commuting, often at night) - with your experience, knowing what you know after all those commutes - would you say the Burn-E2 (not the Max), would be a better investment & commuter than the Apollo Pro?
    CDN Prices:
    Apollo Phantom: $2400
    Nami Klima $3200
    Segway GT2: $3400
    Nami Burn-E2: $4000
    Apollo Pro: $4300
    Nami Burn-E2 Max: $5400
    Anyone else with comments on this, I'm happy to hear.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Před 7 měsíci +2

      thanks for joining us on the ride! Heated gloves are a must for winter riding in NYC. Most of the time, I'm using them on the middle mode because it can get hot but I'm glad that the hottest mode can make riding in the coldest of days more comfortable!
      To answer your question, the Gemini Titan's can get warm but they never get hot. It's quite easy to aim up and down but they always stay in place regardless of how harsh the conditions on the road are. If I point them up a bit more I can get a bit more distance but I keep them aimed lower so that it doesn't blind everyone. I've never had the opportunity to use the 4000 lumens mode but they were incredibly bright when I tested them before.
      As for the Apollo Pro vs BE2, I think they're pretty similar on paper. However, I find it hard to believe that they can match the ride comfort and delivery of power that the BE2 has. I've tried other scooters that are supposed to be "Nami Killers" but I always end up liking the Nami scooters better event though they no longer lead the industry in "performance specs". If the PV3 is similar to the Mantis King GT that I tried, it'll be within the ballpark of the Klima/ Klima Max.
      As much as I love the Nami scooters, I would probably choose the Apollos if I were you and I were based in Canada (unless you have a local Nami retailer). At the end of the day, specs and features are too close to call and it comes down to preference. The biggest deciding factor for me would be the support that you could get from local distributors and Apollo since they're a Canadian company because I'm not very handy/ mechanically savvy. If you're a handy person and can work on your scooter yourself, I would consider the BE2. Michael Sha is great owner and you can reach out to him directly on the Nami FB group and he can get you all the parts you need. He's got alot of videos on CZcams on how to work on your scooter and there are alot of Nami owners that can easily execute repairs/ upgrades based on those videos (im not one of them lol). For example, I reached out to him and he was able to sell me the upgrades I wanted for my Gen 1 Burn E and all the parts got to me from China faster than some of the things being shipped from the continental USA lol.
      I hope this helps. I get that it's a bit of a "cop out answer" there but things are never really as simple as folks make it out to be. There's just too many factors to consider with things like these lol. I hope that one day I can try one of an Apollo Pro so I can do a first impressions video on it.

      Thanks for joining us for this ride and welcome to the comments section Jose! I'm glad you enjoyed it because this ride was a lot of fun. The throttle I'm using is called a Polish Throttle. The specific one on my scooter is one of the first versions of it so I needed my mechanic at FFR solder it into place. The new generations of them are plug and play so it's much easier to change. If you go into the official Nami FB Group and search "Polish Throttle" you'll see a link for the seller's website. I bought mine locally here in NYC but alot of the EU Based Nami Dealers say that the website/ the seller is legit. But proceed with caution and make sure you check it out yourself.

    Hey Ivan, saw your video came up late today was getting worried ha ha. question, how many miles you get on your klima max when it's cold out? I'm on the fence between the klima max and burn e. I'd prefer the klima max due to size/weight and cost my commute would be 8 miles each way(flat road, prob around 30 mph average, 185 lbs). Think it'll handle 16 miles round trip in the cold(low 40s f)

I used to live in queens then moved to ATL about 10 years ago. Our temps warm up earlier than in NY and stay warmer longer but once cold it's not far off from the lows yall have. I'm hesitating between the teverun 11+ and the nami klima, any advice?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Před 7 měsíci

      thanks for joining us for this ride as well! Honestly, I don't have much experience with Teverun because there isn't a place to really see them here in NYC. In the PEV community here, it's dominated by Kaabo and Dualtron. Based on what I'm reading online, the Teverun 11+ isn't really in the same category as the Klima Max. I feel like it's closer to the Blast Max/ Burn E2. If you really need the power or feel like you'll regret not having that 50+mph top speed, the Teverun/ Blast Max would be the ideal options. If you're looking for that quickness in a smaller package and 40-43 mph is enough for you, I would pick the Klima and use the money you saved to get some cool accessories/ riding gear. As a urban rider that's had the Klima for a few months now and owned the original Burn E for almost 3 years, I can honestly tell you that I don't miss the performance on the Burn E at all. I just miss the smoothness of the ride and the spacious deck.
      I hope this helps even though it may not be that insightful!

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Před 6 měsíci

      Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel Adam! There’s a few reasons I switch back and forth between the bike lanes. First, our bike infrastructure in NYC is quite lacking so there are areas that just don’t have it so we ride with traffic in those parts. Next, it’s sometimes safer to avoid the bike lanes in some neighbor since they are so littered with vehicles, pedestrians, and obstacles. Next, the conditon of the bike lanes are much worse than the road so we ride with the cars to either avoid getting taken out by potholes or to be more comfy. There’s a ton of reasons that come up as we ride but those are the major ones lol

    When I ride my Klima I just turn around to see if cars are behind me, do you use your mirrors more than ur turning ur head back when riding?

      thanks for joining us for the ride Evangelos! I'm always checking my side mirrors to see whats behind me. I have it set up so that I can see whats to my side and whats behind me depending on how I'm looking into them. Thats why you see me constantly looking down and sometimes squatting a little! I don't like turning my head on the scooter because I feel like I'm going to miss something in front of me at those speeds, but I do turn my head quite a bit when I'm on my Eskateboard

      Ohh gotcha! Yeah investing in mirrors sounds like a good idea, got see keep my eyes in front for pumps at high speeds!

      thanks for joining us on this ride and welcome to the channel! Apologies for the delayed reply. Work and personal life has been pretty crazy these last couple of weeks but I'm finally catching up with CZcams.
      The scooter has been incredible. If you want an indepth review I did a long term 750 mile review on it and will do a follow up 1500 mile review in the next couple of months. Check out the 750 mile review here:
