I have the Merrell moab.extremely comfortable.i will get another pair,when I got the money..they shed water, i.e.,rain,puddles,just fine.
I like the new Bates tactical sport 2 tactical boots.
Just thought Id give my 2 cents worth. I purchased a pair of Reebok RB8806 super comfy for 3 months then where the crease happens where you bend your toes the material started to fray and a moth later there is a large hole. I wrap cars as a job so I guess Im crouching more than most but 4 months is pretty poor! My advice is to shop elsewhere.

Don't ever never buy anything Merrell. Not only the worst quality but the MOST unresponsive customer unfriendly company that can possibly exist. I'm saying this after a personal experience with 2 of their products. They should be made to attach a warning on their boots: Buy at your own risk.
I go through boots like crazy I might try one of these because most my boots only last 3-6 months

sir , dont know if you`ll see this or answer but i`m askin anyway , i`m a bit older and have turf toe in 1 foot with gout in both big toes . i`m lookin for a boot that doesnt completely take me out after hunting , hiking , in the mnts. or workin building waterfalls , so i`m bending squatting climbing and movin stone , i need a pretty soft insole or platform , at 67 the feet dont have the fatty tissue it use to have , right now some hoka`s help . i`ve had lowa`s , merrell`s nikes , but didnt know if ya had an opinion on this you`ve spoke of . thank you sir
I'll never buy another pair of Merrell's again after four weeks the stitching started coming out souls lifted from the toes . And I ran into a friend that bought a pair he had the same problem . And the company doesn't care either .
You must have got a bum pair...I love mine,
And have used the Merrell, outdoors in both Alaska,and in the Rockies,where I live.....
@@briananderson8204 or you were lucky to have gotten a pair worth something. Bum pair or not when you contact a company after purchasing 2 pairs of top of the line boots which both broke within 2 months and after ONE trip, they can at least pretend that they really care.

Right off the bat it’s obvious to say boots will not last forever, a well made pair of boots will get you 2000-3000 miles under normal conditions before the sole wears out.
The first pair of boots has such a shallow sole it will probably get you a couple hundred, to me that looks like a boot designed for ship boarding operations not for the everyday grunt
Edit: yeah second boot in this is complete shit, I’ve never seen any company outside of China Use nylon shanks in their boots and the sole looks like what you get on cheap $50 steel toe boots

@@ironwolftactical1447 I’d say you get what you pay for. They’re comfortable and ridged where you want them to be but have an issue with the soles delaminating but a cobbler can repair that pretty cheap

You shouldn't say "the best", since these boots are not the best. They were cheaply in China. The best are LOWA, SOLOMON, and DANNER. These are the boots the real pros wear.
The best boot, is a resoleable boot...I'd say Danner.. Acadia.
