My biggest regret musically is never seeing this genius in concert. He was a one off in the best possible way. RIP Lochee laddie.

I’m totally with you there .
I did meet him once but I had not heard his music at that time. He certainly wasn’t sober🤣

One of many great songs by Michael Marra, who left us far too soon - such a multi-talented man, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, playwright, photographer. And also such a lovely, funny, kind, modest person. RIP Michael

Absolutely bloody awful he died. Saw him four times. Blessed memories. No other word, a genius. Thanks Michael, for so so much.

I spent 3 years in Dundee many years ago. In many ways it's a shit-hole, but for the likes of Michael Marra, Dougie Martin and all the great Musos playing the shitey bars in town, it was the greatest wee town you could ever be in. Michael, you're a poet! Cheers

It's the best Shite Hole you will ever have the good fortune to visit though ! Brilliant place.

So Sad to see Michael has left us,another regret, was always 'going to go and see him',do not put things off, you do not know what is round the corner!!! I hope the people of Scotland, and Dundee area in particular, finally appreciate the 'couthy' talent of this talented person. Humour, passion, entertainment, and so unassuming for such a gifted performer.
To quote the Corries song, When will we see your likes again?
    Grant.

I just left Dundee a few months ago to study in Newcastle and I don't miss it at all... but I guess it's still home and always will be =/ even if it is Scumdee/Dundee/Fundee (that last name's pushing it a bit)

Loved the song, however a writer's faux pas. . .not telling us why she was crying. I guess we'll never know.
