    I get categorized as deep because I have light to medium skin tone,black hair, and dark brown eyes. Deep colors make me look tired and old. I’ve always had strikingly dark eyes even as a baby people would talk about it. I’ve done my own draping and I believe I’m actually a bright not deep. You’re one of the few that acknowledge dark eyes can be clear. My eyes definitely look like the clear example.

      Any tips? I wonder if I am bright winter? I am torn between cool and bright winter. I ruled out deep winter since the colors were too deep for me (even tho I have deep brown almos black eyes with black hair and lighter skin). Any specific colors you tried on? How did you knew you aren’t a cool winter? 🙃🥰

    this just cracked the code for me. thanks for the diverse examples! i’m clearly deep but i’ve been so confused about clarity since i have a muted complexion but very vivid and dark (practically black) clear eyes and hair.

    I am still stuck on what I am because I feel the cool summer pallet best suits my skin, but I have natural strawberry blonde hair. I also have freckles but warm colors seem to make my face look too red and cool colors seem to soften/even out my skin tone. I am also at the age of starting to have white streaks of hair. My eyes are hazel green with some amber and now I have to see if they are clear. 😂 I've been trying different apps and playing around with photos to see which colors best suit me but I feel like my skin is neutral, not warm or cool and foundations are always either too warm/orange or too cool/blue on me. Can't wait to see your 12 and 16 pallet videos to hopefully figure my pallet out.

    Interesting. I haven't heard this concept before. I have medium to dark golden brown hair, light skin and hazel eyes which usually look brown unless you are very close to me. I recently discovered that if I use black eyeliner with a dark teal powder over it (from the Elf Summer Breeze palette), the whites of my eyes look whiter.

    I am one of those wanderers and I'm so happy to be here!! This has been the most helpful color analysis system for me hands down in 6+ years of personal reading on the subject. I was typed as a deep autumn or clear winter, but those colors seemed to make me look muddy or dull. They "harmonized" in the sense that, just like you said, everything sorta blended together. But I put on a tomato red, a marigold yellow or lime green and somehow my eyes are what come into focus! It was entirely contradictory to my intuition about these brighter colors. So this video was incredibly validating of my own feelings, as i haven't really seen anyone else name that specifically. think folks thought i was winter because of being clear and a deep autumn because i am neutral-warm.

    Such a great video again. I was draped as a light,cool and soft but it never felt right to me. Now I believe to be a CLEAR.... as my eyes are blue and the most striking feature on me too. I have been at this for so long experimenting with different colours and not being satisfied. Thank you for making things really simple. Can't wat now for the lipstick video. Could you include some names of over the counter lipsticks in that video that could be accessible to everyone? Thanks again.

    Very informative information. I often get confused on dark and deep colors. I believe dark colors are created by adding a darker color to a lighter color or black can be a go to, but deep colors are created by adding black or a dark gray to a color to make it appear deep and rich like the deep blue sea.

    As a deep winter I always wore black and gray. But in my dream, a Pakistani wise old man told me that each day of the week has a specific planet and colour. After that I searched and found that in vedic astrology it's a known topic. Nowadays I'm adding more colours to my wardrobe with you beautiful ladies. 🥰

    I still have trouble with this one. I feel like I’m deep winter because the deeper colors make my eyes stand out, but my eyes are green hazel, Very little yellow in the middle that disappears if my eyes are dilated far enough. so I’m not sure if I can be deep.

    Thank you for another interesting video. Is being "a Deep" different than being a Deep Winter/Deep autumn . Is it a combination of the two together? Deep slightly softer colors are the only ones that flatter my medium golden olive skin tone. I also have soft grey green eyes. But, i dont fit in neatly with either DW/DA 😢

      At what point do very dark skinned people not end up winter or autumn ? I was playing around and I’m curious if my findings in a project I guess you’d say is in line. My personal ones did and if I’m wrong , I’ll be off for a while . I’m enjoying it and it happens to be a great fit for what I want to be portrayed as. I feel I’m getting positive reactions thus far too. It’s really fun to try this either way. I am medium ski toned very dark brown hair though it red kinda like yours . My eyes are green hazel. My friends are more like those in your examples but one favors pastel color. The thing I tried went even lighter than what I think of pastel. Pastel medium purples and blues is her choice. The other is in her mostly black phase but I don’t think it suits her and she seem less contrasted like a faded black would make more sense. She is such bright personality, laughing , smiling, jovial but is in a grieving phase too . Everyone wears black though. I’d love to see what she is though. I think this is helpful too. The contrast of one verses the other. One of my kiddos is very much clear .

    Under the 12 palette system, would a true winter also have high contrast between the whites of the eyes and their eye color?

  • @june7rose
    @june7rose Před 2 měsíci +1

    I think the 6 characteristics system just confuses people more until you bring it all into the 12 season system. It's hard to translate it into what clothes and makeup colors you should wear.

    I personally don't see much difference in contrast when it comes to the eyes in the Angela Bassett and Jennifer Hudson example. However, I can clearly see that Angela's skin and hair actually have a lot of contrast compared to Jennifer's. Also, Angela's skin looks more luminous as if it's projecting light like a beam, while Jennifer's skin is more matte and has small flecks of light, like those glitter body gels. I hope what I typed made sense lol

    As a fashion model like Naomi Campbell, who works the runways, wouldn’t you want the fashion outfit to standout more than the model’s facial features or skin color?

    • @CuriousJS
      @CuriousJS Před 2 měsíci +1

      Another way of thinking is, the fashion outfit could look “better” if it also flatters the model.

    • @CuriousJS
      @CuriousJS Před 2 měsíci +1

      For example, If a model has a very cool appearance and the fashion outfit is the color mustard or orange, it could make those colors appear dull and ugly. On a Warm dominant model those same colors would look soft and rich.

    • @ColorClassInc
      @ColorClassInc  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Oh they absolutely do this with certain designers when walking the runway put them in competing colors.

    This was very helpful, however I'd like to request an independent video about hazel eyes and the flow seasons as sometimes my hazel eyes adjust to deep but my skin seems to be more medium/clear. Could you do a focus on hazel eyes throughout the different skin types? I have pale/fair neutral skin and would like to understand it more. Thank you kindly 🤎💚

    • @june7rose
      @june7rose Před 2 měsíci +1

      if you have hazel eyes, you're soft, "ishy" eyes, where you can't point to one specific color are soft (kinda brown, gold, amber, green being soft autumn while kinda blue, cool green, turqouise and gray being soft summer), clear doesn't have anything to do with skin. If that helps. It will make more sense when they get into the 12 season system

      I think you are bright like I am! I have a few photos of me on the banner of my page btw and a video with me physically in it on my page in the well under the title The Sims 4 Infants Pack | Laguna Beach Family Home (Speed Build). I too have gray eyes and features like you too and it's rough finding gray eye examples, when your eyes are not blue, and most makeup tips to enhance eye color end up making your eyes look more blue which i hate (instead of more gray like i want) like the orange makeup trick for blue eyes, etc. but this video def helped me!
      I think I'm a true bright, which I know Carol Brailey's color system uses this palette to mean you can wear all brights regardless of season (so BW+ BS + LS). My eyes are the first thing people notice about me (and my clear skin) and when i tan (i'm Hispanic and middle eastern + white) i have such trouble seeing my contrast when i'm very dark all that i have really that's light are the whites of my eye at that time of year and for me there's a dramatic difference in my eye white color in comparison to the outer iris/rim color. I have a black ring around the lightest gray shades in my inner eye part. I think this is where eye pattern may help bc for a clear/bright eye it's common to have that lighter inner iris, and a very dark outer iris. And that's what they are saying here. If you're still struggling this is my advice on what you may do as a Software Engineer to get very technical to measure your eye colors.
      IMO maybe find an example of someone a celebrity who is verified a BW and a Deep Winter one, and if you have a program on your PC like paint or some color measuring tool you may be able to measure the eye color at various points and compare it to a celebrity verified as a bright vs. a deep winter celeb. I did my Zyla colors this way, so make like 3 circles in a row and do that for 3 rows with 3 columns. Grab a photo of you, a clear celebrity, a deep celebrity, paste those under each column. Zoom in on their eye and take a screenshot of that eye up close and paste it below the other photos. Then use the eye dropper tool to sample the color from their eye white color and fill a circle with it, do it for the outer iris + inner iris too for you and each celeb. Then you can actually see the colors and spot the similarities differences more easily. If there is a big shade difference between the eye white color than there is in comparison to the outer iris color than you probably are clear! If there is a smaller color difference then you might be deep. So if the eye white color is a very light shade of white for you than there is for the dark winter/deep celeb you'd know you're clear.
      If you still can't figure it out or aren't tech savvy, I could help you, if you click on my channel and then on my channel's description it will have a contact email and so feel free to shoot me an email with a pic of your eye and I can try my best to help. I'm no color analyst expert but I'll still do my best haha. Good luck! -Mars
