Depends on the person and the times. The old Daredevil movie for example, when Matt Murdock needed to use a computer he has one specially fitted with bumps on certain keys for certain functions. However there are many computers and devices nowadays that could easily assist a blind person. From text to speech to the voice activated stuff like Amazon Echo.

The Deadpool movies and his more modern portrayal in the comics really toned down how much of a scumbag he originally was. Probably for the best because at the end of the day, he is supposed to be the protagonist, anti-hero or not, and you should be rooting for him.

Blind Al is from the comics... and it was pretty dark at first. She was his prisoner for years, and he was pretty cruel to her. He had a room full of sharp objects that he threw her into when he was angry. She retaliated in other ways, insults, and putting laxatives in his food, but it was pretty disturbing in the comics, as opposed to cutesy. Eventually they did part ways, although Deadpool would still prank call her. The Deadpool of today is a lot more lighthearted then he was when he was starting out.

Just 15 years ago an avengers movie was the most unrealistic pipedream a comicbook nerd could have, and now... we have a tv series coming about falcon and winter soldier... that crossover will happen. But at the right time and in the right moment.
At 1:30 there's a ton of advent calendars all over the wall. Within the final cut of the film, they don't really make any sense. Originally, Francis was supposed to be caught by the police at the burning warehouse, and sentenced to a few years of jail time, with his release date being 'Christmas Day' for Wade.
One of my co-workers is a "comic book expert" so rightfully hated this movie and the sequel. I loved both movies and the re-release. Took my kid to see all three and he loved them all. This is where I learned that most "experts" can't really enjoy much of anything. I asked him if he ever just went to watch it as a movie and he said he was too much of a fan of the comic book. Whatever. Not much fun to be a fan of something and pay $18 for a movie you'll hate. Its like Force Awakens all over again.
Tbf if he was hoping for OG deadpool I could see why he'd be disappointed. It was a bit darker than this. Blind Al was his prisoner that he literally tortured, Vanessa became discount Mystique, and the first time Wade did something good on a large scale he got ptsd/depression from the choice he made. But the key thing with comic book movies is that they're *adaptations*. They will never be one-to-one replicas of their sources, and shouldn't have to be. And for a movie adaptation of Deadpool, this was pretty good.

@ Sloppy Phart I get what your saying but the dark stuff with Al in the early comics wasn't just for the sake of being edgy, it went with the entire theme of early Deadpool that he was an evil, psychotic villain who had finally grew disgusted with himself and began to slowly transition into a hero. While trying to be a hero he is constantly faced with the evils of his past such as the horrible things he did to Al. As much as I enjoyed this movie they made Wade an already fairly decent guy at the beginning of the story and not the truly horrible person he was in the comics which took a lot away from the whole searching for redemption angle that the early comics (before they started to become extremely cartoonish) did a lot better. It also took away a lot from Al's character and turned her from a former spy who is now the prisoner of a psychopath who she has to be extremely careful of what she says or does around him in order to not set him off into a violent rage but eventually becomes a type of twisted mother figure to him and just made her some random blind old woman who could be sassy. Those are my gripes with the movie but again, it was still an enjoyable movie.
Purist are the worst...own a huge comic book collection and have forgotten more than I know. Yet, I accepted around the time Keaton became Batman, that it's not always going to be just like the comics. FFS, I thought most veterans would have accepted this after organic web shooters?

But the key thing with comic book movies is that they're *adaptations*. They will never be one-to-one replicas of their sources, and shouldn't have to be. And for a movie adaptation of Deadpool, this was pretty good.
@@garbouwdeark9103 I always hated when things tried to be too dark for the sake of being edgy. It's my exact problem with Kickass. People complained that the film didn't include numerous more rape and murder scenes. It's fucking dumb and proves that the comic isn't always better.

I get what your saying but the dark stuff with Al in the early comics wasn't just for the sake of being edgy, it went with the entire theme of early Deadpool that he was an evil, psychotic villain who had finally grew disgusted with himself and began to slowly transition into a hero. While trying to be a hero he is constantly faced with the evils of his past such as the horrible things he did to Al. As much as I enjoyed this movie they made Wade an already fairly decent guy at the beginning of the story and not the truly horrible person he was in the comics which took a lot away from the whole searching for redemption angle that the early comics (before they started to become extremely cartoonish) did a lot better. It also took away a lot from Al's character and turned her from a former spy who is now the prisoner of a psychopath who she has to be extremely careful of what she says or does around him in order to not set him off into a violent rage but eventually becomes a type of twisted mother figure to him and just made her some random blind old woman who could be sassy. Those are my gripes with the movie but again, it was still an enjoyable movie.
Purist are the worst...own a huge comic book collection and have forgotten more than I know.
Yet, I accepted around the time Keaton became Batman, that it's not always going to be just like the comics.
