Haha I just said it as a joke cause for Xiaomi devices, it's almost impossible to brick them. Trust me I have soft bricked these devices (didn't brick F5 yet 😂) like 20 times in my life but all of the time I could revive them somehow with Mi Flash tool.

Literally so helpful, thank you so much for this. I wanted to install EvoX, but couldn't cause there's no version for Poco F5 Pro, so I had to go for Derpfest, which now I'm realizing is not really that much different, it still all works just as I wanted.

What about the warranty, cause their motherboards are heck of a problem, Using MIUI your phone dies but can be recovered by warranty. Using Custom Roms your phone stays but warranty dies.

Just keep use this shit until the warenty ends and feel free to cook your phone
as the one have mi10t that gets deadboot. they still accept it(and yes i still custom rom that time) and give me the warranty. But here in philippines service center here told us that refund is based on how long phone use. so i get half of my money spent because it is weeks before 2yrs(mi10t has 2 yr warranty)
f5 imo will be the next f1 for custom roms availability because of its chipset

I was confused about some details. You have only formatted the internal storage.
why was it not necessary to clean the partitions system, vendor, etc?
and not even make use of firmware or vendor before installing the rom? as we do in K20 pro
Cleaning those was for old devices when you don't format data. Like we do for K20P.
But for newer devices which has dynamic partition like RN10P we don't need yo wipe anything cause that doesn't work.
Formatting data means you're now good to flash a rom if you just reboot the recovery once after formatting.
No firmware is needed as I am switching from miui and this is a early build. We may need it in future but not needed for now.

I have showed the method I have followed and this particularly worked for me.
Otherwise you can experiment with other methods as well but ofcourse everything is on your own risk.

I use los recovery. Using pixelMagic on my mi a3. Working like a charm 🔥

Use latest recovery, but won't recommend flashing magisk as of now. The HyperOS fw based builds are kinda in beta
@@KTNTECH Yeah, I recently just found the solution I guess depending on your ROM's Android Version it should be the same as your TWRP Version, I'm still looking for the A14 (Marble) Version of TWRP but still no luck, I will move to RisingOS and stay until there's a new TWRP Version for Marble Devices and I will flash to EvolutionX Soon....

Didn't get your question, that's the recovery file. You can download and extract the zip and you'll get recovery(.img) file.
Then just paste that inside platform tools folder
Quick question, have you tried to access the recovery after flashing this ROM? Do the files of the internal storage appear there? Also, does TWRP ask for the PIN/pattern to unlock?
I had a pretty nasty issue with the TWRP on my Redmi Note 8 having encrypted folders in TWRP, where every folder had a name such as =178gg792yg9weywioye=. Is it the case here?
EDIT: I just watched the video and it did ask the PIN. I missed that part when I wrote this comment
You just need to flash disable force encryption file which you can find online for your device.

Nice! I have been following this project closely. It looks really nice. As I have been using LOS on my Poco f3 and absolutely love it: how does EvoX compare to LOS? Are they even comparable? Because I have recently bought my Poco F5 Pro. I'm not using it with MUIU out of spite haha, but I would like to try a different rom if it is as good as LOS in terms of stability, UI and performance!

Backup all personal files, sms, contacts etc to a seperate pc. Restoring from Google cloud backup won't work.

Here's a straight method for flashing roms, anything on or before K20P can be and should be decrypted for having seamless customrom flashing experience, later devices like RN10P, POCO F5 etc has dynamic partition where by default the storage like to be encrypted. If you do otherwise you may face problems while switching roms. Thanks, hope I could explain it well.

Generally need 7 days,
I didn't have to wait at all, cause at the beginning I've added the account in mi unlock right when I started using it.
I used the device 20-24 days then did the review and afterwards when I tried unlocking it just unlocked in one go. No waiting for me.
