  • In part one of Setting Google Ads Enhanced Conversions with Google Tag Manager we cover how to check what data is being pushed by your conversion events. You will need this to be able to set up your Enhanced Conversions.
Using an example of a Contact us form we test the user journey via Google Tag Assistant. We record the user indefinable form fields being pushed, in this case, an email.
Now we are ready for the next step: Creating User-Defined Variables that will allow us to push the email field into GTM in a way that it can be hashed to use in Google Ads Enhanced Conversions.

I'm using Formidable and I only get "form_start" event. What can I do?

Hmmm we haven't used this form creator, unfortunately. Quick search it seems you can push a submit using this code dumbdata.co/listeners/formidable-form/ But you'll need the other variables to be pushed to get the enhanced tracking working. You might be able to find a solution online for that form creator specifically but it would need some digging around.
