    Lots of neat ideas that I hadn't thought of! I would love a vid on how to set an eyelet perfectly with the regular crop-a-dile hand held one. Mine almost always come out not quite right or one side is not squished enough and I can never remember which side of the setter thing to put in which side of the eyelet! I have to do a few practice ones first, always! Oh... they are good to use to hold down vellum if you don't want to glue it. I like to stamp on my vellum and then put it over something on my card or whatever, and then put eyelets in all 4 corners. Looks really cute.

I know it'll be super helpful and I'm going to practice setting eyelets and do it right - I think I've been using the crop a dile wrong to set them! Thank you for some great eyelet ideas! One of my favorites is that paper clip for the bow. Love that!! And the double color page edging. This is not my idea, but it's something I thought you may like: I have seen section tabs decorated with the tiny eyelets and a charm through it. That's one of my favorites as well, used in a planner and travelers notebook.
    Question: what do you do to cover the other side? Or do you not have to cover them? No matter how gentle I try to be, the back side of the eyelet always has sharp points. I can't seem to mash them or get them flat so I don't scratch myself. If it happens on the left side (for page reinforcement of a section divider) at least I'm not touching that but I have had it happen where the sharp bit scratches the paper next to it. I made my own recipe book, and I used eyelets for the covers and section dividers- that's where I'm having this trouble. It scratched my fingers up as I was attaching all the sections with twine, and I've noticed a couple sections where the eyelet backs scratch what they rest on.

      @LollyPalooza  Před 3 lety +1

      Sherry Woods I have found that crop a dile perfectly sets memory maker eyelets but some of the generic eyelets are stronger and fractionally different sized, metric probably as opposed to imperial and that makes a difference as tolerances are set for crop a diles. Cheaper thin eyelets set perfectly most times as long as you are careful

      the Crop-A-Dile video was already made -- I mentioned that the link is under this video. You need to click to see all the information under the video. Hope it helps. I've also recently done another video -- how to set eyelets. That's also listed there now. Let me know if after watching both of them, I can still help in some way :)

    I love using eyelets as you did on the bow/paperclip, but I make small journals or paper pads ( not too thick, or only eyelet through the cover) bc I love adding the ribbon and it functions to keep it all together. Thanks for all the other great ideas!

But I know I personally am not fond of watching a video waiting for the instructor to drink her coffee :)
