This has got to be the coolest museum I have ever been to! I love that they run the engines so you get to hear what they actually sound like. That is something you just can't get from a static display.
This is so much better than watching TV.
I love all the little noises.
Beautiful Piece Of History!
Thanks for sharing!
i was just at the coolsprings show 6-19 - 6/21 2008 and i was just amazed by the size of this engine. & the same with the 300hp miller engine. nice clip here.

I want to get one of these wonderful old engines and put it to work around the house. I'd use it pretty much like they did back then, mainly generating electricity and compressing air.
Wonderful engine - nice video!
Yes, This was at John's place a few years back. The engine is much bigger in person!
very nice video she really got going after a bit
now that's an engine I could live with. I would sell the kids on the black market for one like this.

It is believed to be the largest single-cylinder gas engine in the world.
thats an engine and a half!!!!!!
@hpsteamjeff Yes, indeed.

Was this engine saved by John Wilcox? If it is, I saw it at his house about 4 years ago. That side shaft seemed like it was 20 feet long.
