Does Napoleon need a new name?

- Little Napoleon is a raccoon with an oversized personality. I always assumed this raccoon was male. Well, Napoleon showed up with a baby and swollen teats. I was wrong, Napoleon is a female!
Her baby is gorgeous, too! I'm curious if we should change the name or keep it?

i would just keep the name the same and its funny how now she seems more calm so maybe being prego made her grumpy lol
Uh ,only one problem with that. Napoleon was always grumpy 😠 from the beginning 🙄 even before being pregnant 🤰 🥰

What about 'Napolina' for her,so it is a bit closer to the male name and 'Josi' for the cute baby ?

I really like the name Napolann. So original ... . AND Napolann is being a good mother too. She does have a weird walk. But her baby is so cute, and very dark. I am surprised that she let you get that close to her without throwing them ears back. I think you two are forming a good relationship. MoonPie just hangs out with the family...... Any family..lol. I vote to keep Napoleon. It’s the name she’s used to. Raccoons don’t care about gender specific names. Or maybe Mrs Napoleon 😂
If she only has one baby maybe she doesn't have as much milk. Kinda weird they usually have 4 babies.

A couple of years ago, we had feral cats, raccoons and a skunk all eating together out of the same dish. Was just adorable how they all got along so well. Napoleanna is a cute name for her. Cute video. Thanks for sharing.
We think you should keep the name Napoleon, it's a great name and we are all used to it, she seems really calm with you, her baby is beautiful ❤❤

Their dingle berries don't hang down like a dog kinda hard to explain but the males head seems to be bigger and fuller than the females.

Yes, my raccoons have regulated back to their normal routine of coming in late as of this past Sunday! They've been coming in around 8 pm with the babies❤
It's such a welcome relief not to have to go out in this heat during the day if I don't need to 😃 so hot and so humid 🥵
It doesn't get dark until around 9 pm in my neck of the woods here in Maryland, so I can still go out when I see them come in and put more of their favorite foods out! I have a herd of around 5 young bucks that come in and try to eat up all the cookies and peanuts without the shell! I've been throwing apples in the woods for them, but they still want to come into my raccoon land and eat their food too🤦♀️
I kept going out on Sunday trying to get them to move along, but they just looked at me like I was the crazy one🤪😜

We all know the oon as Napoleon, so that name or some close form of it would be my vote. Pretty clever with Napoleanne! In the future it seems androgynous names like Chris, Pat, Terry or Onyx, Scooter, Bandit, Magic, or whatever might be safe.

I like the name Napolann or just leave it Napoleon. That way she will not have to get used to learning a new name.
