I live about 5 miles from the where the ROYAL IRIS
is docked on the Thames, and it is a disgrace what
as happened to a GREAT FERRY.
Don’t be too hopeful, remember what happened to Royal Iris!
Get the royal iris back to Liverpool. I am sure the proud people of the city would support it coming home. Keep it dry and work on it over the next few yew years.
Who is going to insure the Royal Iris? Who is going to pay for the tugs to undertake a 1000 Mile tow? Any passenger ship has to abide by SOLAS regulations. Remember the Marchioness? That ship sank on the Thames with 50 fatalities. AND IT WAS IN BETTER CONDITION than the Royal Iris. The Marchioness swayed Merseytravel s decision to retire the RI .Forget crowd funding and can rattling. The Royal Iris is FINITO clapped out, an ex ferryboat, gorn to meet its breaker.

Great news !-at least it wont be scrapped - been on this ferry many times as a kid - happy memories - - I will def go and see it - - and this will be popular in the dock - great idea - -

Why aren't you still using the beautiful Royal Daffodil, instead of that hiddious multi coloured thing? I really like Liverpool, but just like London it's being slowly ruined, a real tragedy.
