- Im not sponsored. I bought this with my own money. All patches here were made with stock Headrush models and choptones stock IRs. Im giving you a Fender Princeton, Soldano, Marshall, and Heavy Metal type of amp models. The stock “rigs” sound ok. But you really need to tweak to get a gigable. Sound. It took me about 5 hrs to get these. The Marshall rhythm tone could be a little less treble heavy. Revalver models did not sound good to me.

Man I wish more gear review videos on CZcams were like this one. No talking, just sweet instrument sounds.
Hey thanks man
@@tswpedals Does this have a drum/rhythm machine built in? and can be controlled via bluetooth?
@@Bronco2Cj You can use the practice mode to playback songs via Bluetooth, Dropbox or USB-Stick. In practice mode you can change the tempo without losing pitch - that's great!
Really sounds great here. My Prime arrives tomorrow! 👍
Sweet!
do you still have it ?
How much memory storage space does the headrush pedalboard prime have to load mp3, wav or irig files?
I wish Sweetwater would hurry and get these!
I ordered from Guitar Center. They had 21 in the warehouse last Friday night.
Zzounds I think does
Mines on the way from sweetwater!
Can you tell me anything about latency issues?
I’ve heard that when using cloned amps, irs, pedal,…. That it becomes unusable?
Havent cloned anything yet. No latency issues that i have encountered
Good playing! Are you using frfr or direct line?
Thanks! Im going out of the Prime into my Behringer Flow8 mixer and from there USB out of the mixer into my Iphone. I do use FRFR speakers and the sound is pretty accurate to what you hear direct. I have 2 harbinger 8” FRFR powered speakers.
Is the unit able to power a speaker cab? Or would you need something like a Power Stage if you wanted to do that?
@@malverde4475 definitely need a power amp or powered speaker. The only thing it can drive are headphones.
@@tswpedals I bought 2 Electro Harmonix Howitzer 15w pedal amps, I'm going to run stereo, into my Peavey 2x12 cab. :)
@@JHPRS the issue is the cab will color the tone, so you may have to bypass the IR’s
Can it store more than one loop? Like intro, verse, chorus, bridge, outro
What guitar are you using?
How does it compare to the Nux MG-30?
At first I thought the MG-30 sounded much better. But then I loaded my own IRs into the Prime. Now its about the same sonically. Marshall amps sound better on the MG-30. Soldano and 5150 is better on the Prime. Fenders are too close to call.
@@tswpedals Thank you for the answer.
How did you have this connected? I am having a whale of a time finding any info on connecting to an amp, or a computer or anything
All modelers sound pretty much the same IMO.
Some do sound better than others. Ive used many different ones. I like this one better than the Kemper
@@tswpedals I’m glad you’re happy with it! 🎸
Alot of truth in this comment. Love my AX8 and HR pedalboard, but I can get really good tones from my Digitech RP360XP, but of course you have to invest the time. My Prime arrives tomorrow, really excited.
4 inches wider than a full sized Helix. I’m certain no one asked for that. 😂
It is wider and at 16 pounds heavier. I will definitely need to invest in a suitable over the shoulder carrying case. Still better than brining an amp and cab to a gig.
@@tswpedals Agreed. Full featured beyond the Helix as well. Price point is on point too!
@@markjohnson1020 yep and Helix users keep forgetting it has amp and pedal cloning, a better looper, and a practice tool that is super useful. Im not downing the Helix. Im just surprised that Helix users will go out of the way to down the Prime
@@tswpedals Lastly, with noticeably better cloning/profiling than the Quad Cortex and the Kemper the Headrush Prime is easily the overall winner here. Really, the only drawback may be it’s gargantuan size and weight.
I like nice space between the switches while performing, as the Prime has. I'll take the extra length for that benefit.
Everything is good except for your video thumbnail
Yeah i gotta change it on my desktop when I get a chance. I couldnt do it from my mobile device.
Ok i fixed it now. Thanks for the feedback.
ANy good amp sim sounds better
Amp sim like an amp cloner or amp sim like a Strymon Iridium? I think the Prime sounds really good. The only issue that made me return it was the amp cloning glitches.
@@tswpedals No no no....Amp sim is software, like TH-U, which is the best oof them all
@@gibson2623 tonex is really awesome. Thats what I have now.
@@tswpedals no send/return is a real no go. I have the AXE I/O interface from IK multimedia, it is pretty crap, and so is amplitube from them. I hear good things about TONEX, but ....LOL, IK multimedia, I pass...Sorry. Thanks for being so kind anyway :) Take care bro :)
@@gibson2623 do they have a live option format? Like a pedal or processor that you can use in a conventional live setup?
