Thank you so much for posting this wonderful video of your Chandler & Price letterpress. I grew up in my dad's print shop, and printed many a job on one of these machines. The shots of oiling the press and inking the platen almost made me cry! Thank you so much for preserving this! I still have some of the business cards I got from you, but it will be time to order more soon.
Loved this video! Always been a fan of these!
When I commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Marines it was a requirement to get engraved calling cards. I’m sad to hear that tradition has ended. But seeing this makes me want to get new ones as an old retired officer.
Love mine. Great work.
Just stumbled upon you guys - reaching out immediately!
Gonna buy some soon!
Will you tellme how to create letterpress plate?
can you make video about how to design the letters by using PC (you show in this video firs second)?
I'm using Adobe Illustrator to do the digital typesetting and then using that file to create letterpress plates for the press.
I love The Wire reference but you got the area code wrong.
We'll just pretend Lester has a call forwarding service out of LA. 😆Good catch. 🕵🏻♂
