I would have liked for him to stay .. just so I could see him lose on election night .

Why? It is important for new voices and faces, most importantly, ideas to be allowed to enter the political discord

When Ed Vaizey mentioned that Brexit ruined the country, I notice that the interviewer didn't make any comment about that, he just moved on. Classic Murdoch stooge. Tell everyone to vote for Brexit and then pretend it never happened.

Very good point, TR can be atrocious. Their reporting of Palestine for example is shocking and fact free

Gove's time was up years ago. As Local Government Minister, he's failed to deliver, for example, Levelling-Up or letting Local Government across the UK continue to mismanage its finances and overspending. And, he completely dodged the bullet as Minister with responsibility for No10 during partygate.

Local governments have been forced into bankruptcy deliberately to turn their assets over to undemocratic private companies, as 'enterprise zones or freeports.

The only way Gove would stand down is if he was sure he would lose his seat

Since he was on Times Radio last week, the world has changed significantly. Like him or loathe him Michael Gove is recognised has a shrewd operator, the fact he is going speaks volumes for the morale, attitude and emotional state of the Conservative Party.

Tories still don't know what to do hay. LOL Can't they just pretend to be in control, like a script from a marvel film, just act it out. A league of super hero's, the justice league. Seems to be what they've done over the past decade, immerse themselves in a virtual world while the real world collapses around them.
    Good riddance Tories

We seem to be losing many Israel first MPs from Parliament to be replaced by a number of anti genocide MPs. I am concerned what this means for Israel and for the UK. If we take it to its logical conclusion then millions of Israelis will flee, and our politicians have said that this country is full.

Ed Vaizey is a top feller, clever, decent, thoughtful and genuinely interested in public service. He's the only sort of Tory I could vote for. I pray that after the election his wing of the party becomes the dominant one.

@@paulpaisley5291 You're spot on, I'm not a Tory. But then there's nothing remotely concervative about this bunch of Conservives - hard to think of a bunch of people less determined to conserve anything. They are wreckers of our law, and our institutions. And they are uniquely incompetent. I shall be very, very glad to see the back of them. Less than six weeks now
