- This is going at the top of my "Most Challenging Uploads" playlist
There are a few stumbles here and there but honestly, I'm still very happy with how this take turned out, it's such a difficult piece! Quick scales, left-hand/right-hand jumps, so many repeated notes and not much time to rest - but playing it through is definitely worth it, it's incredibly rewarding (and spine chilling sometimes!)
I extensively tested my piano before attempting to record this track to make sure the mechanism will be fine - and it all went smoothly!
As always, huge thanks to the composer, Gareth Coker, for creating such an awesome soundtrack!

What a piece!! I've been waiting for this since the medley and I don't regret any second of it - it has turned out gorgeous!
Also, you couldn't have posted this at a better time. Just yesterday I decided to do some achievement hunting on the game, and I started a shardless, lightless hard-mode run. Guess at which point I stopped out of frustration because she's super freaking hard to beat with only the basic attack and 5 life cells >_<
Guess I shouldn't have chosen Mouldwood Depths as the first "dungeon" after getting separated from Ku...
Btw, I'm still playing parts of your medley every single day to this day because I'm so much in love with it!

KSGHSKHSSK THIS IS AMAZING~ also, I'm jealous of your piano's mallets lmao--the one I use can't seem to spring back fast enough to do the triplets on the same note, so even though my fingers might hit the 3-2-1 fingering, the piano doesn't want to play all three notes haha. Anyway. HECK yes~
THANK YOU BDKFGH based off of your sheet music of course~ and yes I'm very glad my piano is quick enough to deal with the repeated 3-2-1 notes, I mostly learned this on my digital which never made sound with those so I just repeated the notes in theory hoping they would make sound on the grand LOL

This was intense! The melody felt felt fearful and tense at first, then triumphant later, and was dramatic throughout. I see what you mean by "not much time to rest." :)
I haven't played either Ori game, and I don't know what this music is used for, but the heavy rain seen through your window while you played made me imagine an intense, dramatic encounter on a stormy night. Is that close at all?

I haven't beat Mora on the hardest difficulty but I gotta say, recording this sure felt like a boss battle 😅

Daniel Reece oh if you mean that then no, not entirely! I wrote the Medley by ear, but for this one LazyTotodile put up an arrangement for a piano duet on musescore - you can look it up, it's great - and I simply adapted it for solo piano!
