I think this is what characters should be. A very solid well rounded character who isn’t busted or anything, but is still flexible enough to slot into a lot of different team comps. She’s doesn’t power creep anyone while also not feeling worse than older characters

It amazes me how people are downplaying her and saying she's as weak and niche as Chiori. She's a pretty flexible unit considering her reaction is really easy to trigger and fits with a reaction that otherwise is just unusable. Sure, she isn't breaking the game with totally new OP mechanics (yet) - but she's just a solid unit that gives big damage with minimal hassle and easy conditions. Really great future potential as well since we know Natlan will come with more burn-focused units. People downplay her now, but I am pretty confident she'll be popular by time she gets a rerun.
She is not as niche as Chiori, but she is still team limited, because Xiangling exists, and does not need to worry about people dousing the burn. And if archon is off field sub dps as well... That said, like Chiori, I do not think she is bad. And with vertical investment, quite good.
That's for sure. Burning has been a sidegrade to traditional reverse melt and forward vape teams driven by Xiangling. Burnmelt may be thr way to go moving forward and it changes when we get 5* Xiangling, perhaps that being Mavuika. Burnvape is a pretty neat sequence of reactions. You get burning, and then hydro leads it to forward vape, but pyro is the strong aura so it consumed all the pyro but not the hydro, so it's burning, vaporize, and bloom leading into burgeon and burning again. Emilie is like high A tier rn, who would otherwise be S or SS if we had more team options for pyro application, cryo and hydro dps, and that's a pretty good rating, only really behind Kazuha and Yelan for the season Finale characters that get big glowups on the following region. Like yes, Yelan and Kazuha were always good, but only viewed as sidegrades with a surpassing utility in one direction over the alternative. Kazuha has really good grouping and buff, but Venti could do the same and enemies were venti-able until Inazuka came around, even specters can't be succed. Yelan was a good pairing with Xingqiu but never replaced him so she was like low S. She really only provided more dmg and offensive utility, that is until Sumeru changed hydro resonance to more max HP which was big for Hu Tao, Yelan, AND Zhongli. Yae Miko was also kinda an A grade character on release and moved up to S with dendro. Kuki was likely a B or C tier before she is like SS with dendro and hyperbloom. Baizhu was A grade until he jumped to S with the healing theme. With Sumeru themed around dendro reactions and EM, Fontaine themed around HP changes (not HP directly), and healing, then it can be the case Natlan isn't directly focused on ATK, but likely overlooked pyro reactions as some have been neglected, like pyro crystallize, burning, burgeon, and to lesser degree, overload. Emilie's a character who is gonna become better at a faster pace than other characters in Natlan. She is pretty impressive for off field damahe

Emilie has been a blessing on me. I got her like 30 min ago, and I won the 50/50 (77 pity), so I was already ecstatic. Then, while watching this video, I decided, "I'm on 8 pity, and I have 2 wishes, so I'll even out the pity." So I go do a single pull, and I GOT HER AGAIN. This makes her my first limited 5 star constellation

@@lnsanityyy_isntsane The only issue I find with Xiangling is her unquenchable thirst for energy, which forces me to use ER sands on her, which means Bennet is needed for his Atk buff and for pyro resonance. I'm guessing I'm not the only one running this solution since Xiangling + Bennet is the core of so many popular teams. And if we're being honest, all those teams are largely just about how to buff up Xiangling's damage, apart from maybe melt Ganyu. Unless you just go fuck it and only use Ganyu as a burst support for Xiangling, because that probably does more damage.
I did a 10 pull because I was craving it and I got her. No clue my pity was so high because it’s been months since I played. I am happy to hear she is good with burning so I can put her on my Yanfei team.
My new favorite Dendro character Sucrose dressing up as Sumeru Lisa, I won soft pity on both her and her weapon so I’m definitely maining her during natlan exploration and speaking of Sucrose i just realized i can build Glasses team including both girls with Xianyun and technically Charlotte.
Got Emilie in 76 pulls and I'm really happy. I love her design, love her personality and her whole kit is just so...aesthetically pleasing (her burst animation looks like a Magical Girl Transformation 😀). I'm playing her with Yanfei (C3), Kazuha and Thoma (C6) for the moment and it's a lot of fun!
I run Yoimia, Emilie, Diona, Yelan. I get multiple burgeon damage off as well as melts and burning never ends. so I can do several hundred thousand damage in only a few seconds
if u are a lyney main too and reading this, i just want you to know that emilie feels really good in his team, she dishes out very competitive off-field damage and does not mess up the pyro aura uptime, she also fits lyney's team rotation too
@@ivosentinella45 for maximized damage you can bring any anemo + bennett alongside lyney and emilie, though it's kinda hard if u are not used to dodging with him, so if u want more comfort u can bring zhongli + bennett instead

For future Kinich havers who were thinking to pull on Emilie like me 🚫leaks information warning🚫 Even if kinich kit have synergy with burning and burning like emilie, his best teams don't use Emilie, neither in burning (best team being xiangling, bennet, furina), neither in burgeon (bennet, xingchiu, xiangling). So don't feel forced in pull Emilie for him.
Kitain Spear is not even ranked 😭 It has the same benefit as her Signature (Burst every rotation even in single target) & deals more damage than Favonius Lance, plus it's a free craftable weapon.
Yeah -- Kitain is fine, i did leave a note about it at 18:38 , although i could've explained it a bit more & wish i had a more exhaustive weapon ranking (will be done for next videos) With that in mind, the EM isn't the best stat for her (it's okay), but the energy is nice. If your team is energy hungry, Favonious can still give you more team-wide DPS, if it allows you to build more DMG on your other characters -- or even other ER polearms like Skyward/The Catch can help alleviate your ER needs & increase your personal damage. But it's a viable F2P option if you need the ER and don't have something better.

I think her future usefulness will depend more on dendro dps characters, especially ones that are not bloom or aggravate friendly, rather than pyros. More pyros just means more slot competition, and when you want slots for Benny, Kaz, and other buffer/debuffers... So while I have her and she is a big improvement for the team I got her for, I do not think that will be the case for most players. Kinich mains excluded, of course.
I feel you. I accidently clicked on her banner and not the standard so... Now I have her I guess 😅 She is functional in many teams and likely will work well with many Nathan characters as burning will be one of its "themes". So... Not a waste pull.
You say to not use her purely for dendro application and I havent yet tried her in abyss yet as I only just got her, but I've been having a lot of fun with her this evening in my nilouboom team. I let her take nahidas spot and I like that i dont have to switch to reapply dendro nearly as often (i can imagine this would be the case in the abyss especially because if a wave dies and you need to reapply its a bit of a hassle). This team has obviously Nilou (C6 R5 since last patch cause Im a huge simp), Emilie with EM and dragons bane but honestly I dont think that matters, kirara c6 for a strong dendro shield, decent extra damage and application from time to time, plus coordinated dendro attacks and finally: EM-built babs. in the overworld kiraras shield just doesnt break, but in the abyss it does and babs can not only heal some to make up for it (not as much on an EM build, but it is enough... and if you fail to pay attention you rez) , but also makes the superblooms really strong. Shes got about 1100 EM?? 45k hits with nilous blooms. Its an insanely strong and fun team. And yeah normally I use Nahida instead of Emilie, or dendro mc or yaoyao when nahida is in another team. But Emilies application is moreeee than sufficient and super convenient to use. EDIT: dont get me wrong, i will use emilie with burning too, but I just wanted to try this out since I've been running Nilou non-stop since she got her new outfit (which tbf is only a change from "almost non-stop" xD)
Great guide thanks. I've been looking for that weapon ranking. Was torn between using my R5 Missive Windspear or my R3 Deathmatch that I picked up eons ago on her. Gonna stick with Deathmatch. I get way more crit rate and more consistency in damage since Windspear passive goes away after 10 seconds. Emilia's skill is 22 seconds so not worth.
I regretted very much not getting Nilou because she's too niche and now she wont come home. Now another niche comes out so I'm pulling for her now or i might regret again!
Did you make tests of how much the damage actually changes if you are able to burst every rotation? I feel like resetting the skill through its skill might be a bad idea. Because not only do you need 4s to charge it back up to level 2. Only 2 seconds later you are doing the big 600% Dendro AoE damage. Basically it feels like you are losing a lot of damage (at least 2 600% damage bursts + the bigger damage from the skill itself) by resetting the skill through the actual skill and not through the burst as this one keeps the level 2 (which I feel is the main point and less the fact that it does AoE damage). Your weapon ranking for example only shows the damage if you burst every other rotation (which is why Favonius is at last), but it feels like IF you are playing Favonius you would try to burst every rotation increasing your overall damage through the fact that your skill never has to recharge to level 2. Not saying that the guide is bad. I mean, you are saying that there is a point to trying to burst every rotation, I would have just liked if you included that into the calculations. Like make a second row of weapon tests where you build Emilie to burst every rotation and then use the one with the best damage output for both and just making it clear through a footnote which weapons are better for bursting every rotation and which ones for bursting every other rotation.
I wish her skill had that snapshot, when you have her in Benny burst she does so much dmg. So it feels like she has more field time than a sub dps should. Or it’d be nice if she had dendro infusion
tbf Nahida, Ayaka and even Xiao got the "strongest build" title in Zy0x vids too. His titles are just hit or miss in terms of how he feels about the character. I don't think people should overanalyze it lmao
@moxigene he made 2 videos for nahida one titled 'nahida is broken' to explain how broken she is and 1 for her build. Also when he released those xiao and ayaka videos they were pretty mid (ayaka still is). Also from his streams we know that these titles are pretty intentional.

@@lnsanityyy_isntsane The only issue I find with Xiangling is her unquenchable thirst for energy, which forces me to use ER sands on her, which means Bennet is needed for his Atk buff and for pyro resonance. I'm guessing I'm not the only one running this solution since Xiangling + Bennet is the core of so many popular teams. And if we're being honest, all those teams are largely just about how to buff up Xiangling's damage, apart from maybe melt Ganyu. Unless you just go fuck it and only use Ganyu as a burst support for Xiangling, because that probably does more damage.

My new favorite Dendro character Sucrose dressing up as Sumeru Lisa, I won soft pity on both her and her weapon so I’m definitely maining her during natlan exploration and speaking of Sucrose i just realized i can build Glasses team including both girls with Xianyun and technically Charlotte.
Got Emilie in 76 pulls and I'm really happy. I love her design, love her personality and her whole kit is just so...aesthetically pleasing (her burst animation looks like a Magical Girl Transformation 😀). I'm playing her with Yanfei (C3), Kazuha and Thoma (C6) for the moment and it's a lot of fun!

It has the same benefit as her Signature (Burst every rotation even in single target) & deals more damage than Favonius Lance, plus it's a free craftable weapon.
Yeah -- Kitain is fine, i did leave a note about it at 18:38 , although i could've explained it a bit more & wish i had a more exhaustive weapon ranking (will be done for next videos)
With that in mind, the EM isn't the best stat for her (it's okay), but the energy is nice. If your team is energy hungry, Favonious can still give you more team-wide DPS, if it allows you to build more DMG on your other characters -- or even other ER polearms like Skyward/The Catch can help alleviate your ER needs & increase your personal damage.
But it's a viable F2P option if you need the ER and don't have something better.

I think her future usefulness will depend more on dendro dps characters, especially ones that are not bloom or aggravate friendly, rather than pyros. More pyros just means more slot competition, and when you want slots for Benny, Kaz, and other buffer/debuffers...
So while I have her and she is a big improvement for the team I got her for, I do not think that will be the case for most players. Kinich mains excluded, of course.

She is functional in many teams and likely will work well with many Nathan characters as burning will be one of its "themes". So... Not a waste pull.
You say to not use her purely for dendro application and I havent yet tried her in abyss yet as I only just got her, but I've been having a lot of fun with her this evening in my nilouboom team. I let her take nahidas spot and I like that i dont have to switch to reapply dendro nearly as often (i can imagine this would be the case in the abyss especially because if a wave dies and you need to reapply its a bit of a hassle).
This team has obviously Nilou (C6 R5 since last patch cause Im a huge simp), Emilie with EM and dragons bane but honestly I dont think that matters, kirara c6 for a strong dendro shield, decent extra damage and application from time to time, plus coordinated dendro attacks and finally: EM-built babs. in the overworld kiraras shield just doesnt break, but in the abyss it does and babs can not only heal some to make up for it (not as much on an EM build, but it is enough... and if you fail to pay attention you rez) , but also makes the superblooms really strong. Shes got about 1100 EM?? 45k hits with nilous blooms.
Its an insanely strong and fun team. And yeah normally I use Nahida instead of Emilie, or dendro mc or yaoyao when nahida is in another team. But Emilies application is moreeee than sufficient and super convenient to use.
EDIT: dont get me wrong, i will use emilie with burning too, but I just wanted to try this out since I've been running Nilou non-stop since she got her new outfit (which tbf is only a change from "almost non-stop" xD)

Great guide thanks. I've been looking for that weapon ranking. Was torn between using my R5 Missive Windspear or my R3 Deathmatch that I picked up eons ago on her. Gonna stick with Deathmatch. I get way more crit rate and more consistency in damage since Windspear passive goes away after 10 seconds. Emilia's skill is 22 seconds so not worth.

Did you make tests of how much the damage actually changes if you are able to burst every rotation? I feel like resetting the skill through its skill might be a bad idea. Because not only do you need 4s to charge it back up to level 2. Only 2 seconds later you are doing the big 600% Dendro AoE damage. Basically it feels like you are losing a lot of damage (at least 2 600% damage bursts + the bigger damage from the skill itself) by resetting the skill through the actual skill and not through the burst as this one keeps the level 2 (which I feel is the main point and less the fact that it does AoE damage).
Your weapon ranking for example only shows the damage if you burst every other rotation (which is why Favonius is at last), but it feels like IF you are playing Favonius you would try to burst every rotation increasing your overall damage through the fact that your skill never has to recharge to level 2.
Not saying that the guide is bad. I mean, you are saying that there is a point to trying to burst every rotation, I would have just liked if you included that into the calculations. Like make a second row of weapon tests where you build Emilie to burst every rotation and then use the one with the best damage output for both and just making it clear through a footnote which weapons are better for bursting every rotation and which ones for bursting every other rotation.

tbf Nahida, Ayaka and even Xiao got the "strongest build" title in Zy0x vids too. His titles are just hit or miss in terms of how he feels about the character. I don't think people should overanalyze it lmao
@moxigene he made 2 videos for nahida one titled 'nahida is broken' to explain how broken she is and 1 for her build. Also when he released those xiao and ayaka videos they were pretty mid (ayaka still is). Also from his streams we know that these titles are pretty intentional.
