For the first time in my traveling experience i booked hostel in red light area of Frankfurt , i was bit scary at first but after spending a day i found hostel really convenient to live and it has nothing to do with outside adult world , they were nice all the time specially the reception people were good and helpful , last but not the least the tea & coffee were free and you can drink as much as you can :-) it was overall a good experience and i hope i will stay in same hotel again as its more cheaper in price but high in service & very close to Frankfurt Main Train Station.

I had to make payment in advance but u can pay at hostel counter as well once reach.

Yes i am travelling to this area since last 10 years and never had any issue with anyone but its better to have low cash in pocket as this is red light area and better to be caution.. hostel it self is really great u will not regret ur stay there.
