Carissa, Iwan & Frankie decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month they were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call their new home. We picked up Albi the cat along the way. Subscribe to follow our journey as we turn an old stone barn into our home, and learn the ropes of looking after a piece of land to make an abundant garden and one day, our very own winery.

Your videos are so awesome.. Always so soothing, artful and full of personality. Your artistic vein really shines through everytime in the delicate calm way you film, it's amazing. I remember your initial videos and even then with bad quality gear and sound back then this streak shone through since the very start but is getting more and more pronounced now. Sometimes I watch it twice!! I follow a few channels that I like also, and find yours to have a very distinct and original take, combining art with everyday life. It's beautiful! If you didn't have your name on the video or even showed up we could easily tell it's a Frankie one đ. About learning Portuguese, you have the perfect setting!! Looks peaceful with the change of season.
For next summer, how about choosing and cleaning one of the wells to use as a "plunge pool" for the middle of the day?.... Just get yourselves on a floater and relax in the cold water. I'm sure in the actual plunge pool the water doesn't stay cool.....

Aww, I thought you were going to talk about how you bought the property without a mortgage (based on your thumbnail image). Knowing the finances behind how people like you can do this is important stuff, too. IMO. Love your content and all your animals!!
property is quite "cheap" in Portugal. If you save up, you can buy a lot of places with cash. We did it this way as well, completely mortgage free.
Another lovely video. Your channel is a soft place to land; respite from a life of constant unwelcome noises and speed. Nice to see Carisaâs family come visit, and a thrill for your mother to see the farms progress, and smell the wonder of Portugalâs fall.

i love your video's brings a warm grounding vibe, natural, real I guess is the words I'm looking for! a great thing to have around the farm is Hydrogen peroxide great for cut and grazes on both humans and animals, can be added to drinking water and great for a cold!.. i read a study that was carried out in the 1920's on how germs grow to cause a cold, the findings were, they grow in the ear canal, because of the constant temperature of the ear canal, the nose and throat change temperature as we breath!.. at first sign of a cold stick a few drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide in each ear! hey presto 99% of the time gone by morning, not had a cold in over 6 years.

Love the structured learning in Busu but realized it was Brazilian Portuguese so I stopped using it. Have they added European Portuguese finally?
No not yet unfortunately, hoping they add it soon. I find it still helps with sentence construction etc but yes some of the words and pronunciations donât work here đ

It is, itâs easy enough to differentiate though. I certainly wouldnât recommend it to a beginner.

They need to be pressure resistant bottles and I canât find any in the local winemaking shops unless I buy 200. Maybe one day.
