- This is the original version, only found on the B side of the "Another You, Another Me" 12" single, released back in 1986. I think this is a superior version compared to the one released on Gemini's "Best of" compilation in 2005.

The bleeding 2005 re-recording has his voice less loud swamped it a dance mix to tangle with the delicate original instrumentation and leaching lines from the chorus!

I only ever knew the Best of.. version, and I always wondered where the original NON remix version was. I love this track and have played the 2005 version so much over the years. But just hearing this for the first time even,.. immediately I prefer it so much. This must be B&B's original production. Just wayyyyyyyy superior. Thank you for uploading.

Very cool. I heard the 2005 'update' first so really like it as it was the only version I knew of 'til this were uploaded. So obviously it's better, it came first, with a line flushed out of the chorus too! I naturally dug the one on the Gemini compilation (i.e. the WRONG one) but that was ONLY cos I never heard the original, which is CLEARLY the unassailable, untouchable one. The makers of that compilation were arseholes, they should have just got out both albums on CD remastered and added all the things that were missing from both albums ('When I Close My Eyes', THIS proper version & 'Slow Emotion' 12", though to me that's the correct length, it's cut on the album, but that's B&B all over. Bottom line: You don't mess about with something fine as it is! But I must praise the man who extended 'I'm A Bitch When I See Red' as it's far superior being longer than the paltry time it was, just a pity he blitzed 2 important lines of the last chorus to repeat 2 earlier lines from choruses 1 or 2. Avoidable mistake.

I also agree. Anders' productions are not always great (and often extremely cheesy = see also some tracks on Djupa Andetag).
What beggars belief is the quality of classy songs like this from their first great album (even ones like this that didn't make the cut for it) and the best songs from their second album, also very good, but not like the first, and they release as a single the cringey, embarrassing and downright awful 'Wild About That Girl' over proper cool NORMAL songs like 'Ghost Town', 'Nearly There', 'I'm A Bitch When I See Red', 'Beat The Heat' and 'I Am The Universe'! Idiots!
