Think of how North will feel later when she sees this performance, (which will be on the internet forever) knowing she could have done so much better.
I'm all for kids (and adults for that matter) learning new skills and performing, I just think if they're performing anywhere besides home and school, they need more coaching first.
Even for community theater we begin rehearsing 4 months before opening night. We workshop, try new ideas, and get settled into the best version of our individual performances.

Not some perfected performance that a stage mom would intensely criticize them for until it’s “just right”. I think this was North showing a form of confidence in her own way.
