That Church doesnt need to be demolished 😢
So beautiful 😢sad it will be gone
Don't need the organ anymore now that we got drums and guitars playing a bunch of songs people either don't know or are already sick of. Gives me time to read the bulletin while I'm standing threre waiting for them to get it over with.
I miss those traditional hymns with organs and pianos!! Now it's drums, guitars, and keyboards with the lyrics on overheads!! I find it annoying that the singing includes dancing, jumping, clapping, and waving your arms in the air with the lights dimmed to the point where you feel like you're at a nightclub!! Anymore many churches are more about the hip hop culture and entertaining the goats than they are about feeding the sheep!!
This building is in excellent condition!! With some renovations this would be a great building for a newly planted church and the mustiness in that one room could easily be treated!! So sad that a perfectly good church is going to be demolished!!
Fascinating video! Always enjoy watching videos of abandoned churches (being from a religious family myself) so I definitely enjoyed this. Thanks for posting!
For clarification:
1) at 3:44, an altar guild is a designated area to store the paraments (altar linens), vestments, and the instruments used for sacraments (chalice, etc.)
2) at 4:32, I'm pretty sure that was used as a part of the game of shuffleboard, which was played with brooms on the floor. A lot of older (50's & 60's) fellowship halls had those on the floor. My previous church has those underneath the current floor in its fellowship hall.
Your comment has a sadistic chime to it. Like a joy seeing these magnificent houses of worship in decline and trashed. Please tell me I am wrong!
Beautiful church. So cool to see the organ
David!!
I just love pipe organs. They sound amazing. You did a good job playing it.
You never fail with awesome explores. I love watching you, cuz you’re always so gentle & absolutely harmless.
Really enjoyed this one, too, and the Oregon loved it
Hi Dave
What a cool find. This church looks perfect so I wonder why they left it abandon.
Those organ pipes are beautiful. I never seen anything like them. I hope they
come and take them out. They are being wasted there. You seem to find all
the cool places by accident. Sometimes it just happens that way. Those are
the best vids. Thanks for sharing this lovely church with us. Stay safe and
take care of yourself.👍😊 5 star content⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
By the way you play the organ beautifully.
I hope they don't demolish it... There's nothing wrong with it) except greed maybe).
IF they do, the HAVE to save the pipe organ!!!😮
It looks like it hasn't been abandoned long; no decay, no vandalism, electricity, working organ in good shape other than tuning, relatively clean. Curious as to what denomination of church it was
To hear you play the organ perfect beginning & Makes one to continue watching.. Thrilling is right.
That was a great tour around the church, love the organ quite an amazing piece. Thanks for another of your great video.
Pretty great playing Dave. Beautiful church. I think it sucks that this beauty is going to be demoed. Boo! What a great find Dave, thanks.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love it...more please....great job
i love the church videos. nice . thanks for sharing . ❤❤❤ stay safe love ya
awesome Sunday delight!
Thank you for all you do. I do appreciate it. ⚘️🌻😊
The organ may be either a Rodgers or an Allen electronic and has both speakers and pipe ranks. The silver pipes we saw first appear to be non-speaking and are basically a decoration for the speakers behind them (note the grill cloth). The horizontal pipes above appear to be a pipe rank of trompette en chamade which translates to horizontal pipes. There also appears to be more ranks of pipes behind those. I'm sure some research could provide more information on the instrument but one would need the church name and location.
I work for Allen, and that console is neither an Allen nor a Rodgers.
@@anb7408 Other than those two makes I don't know of any other that combines pipes with electronic stops. Unfortunately he never shows the the keyboard area of the console or names the church.
beautiful
Nice intro with the organ!
I hope someone buys that place and turns it into a beautiful home.
One day I will be in America, I wish to revive their faith.
I love many of the great generals of God there. Like Kenneth haggi, Kathryn kulmen, oral robert
Since they are gone,
Where is this located?
I guess the next congregation that moves into this building will need to remodel. First thing is to yank out the organ and take it to the dump since nobody wants to hear 300 year old music played on it anymore and besides it doesn't have a MIDI controller and no drum machine on it. The next on the agenda is to paint the ceiling and the stage solid black so the colored spot lights and fog machine shows up better. The next is to get rid of all the hymnals. we don't need to read music anymore since the "praise team" will be controling the music and they don't really read the written score and besides they sing mostly unison anyway.. Plus everyone will be looking at the lyrics on the big screen jumbo-tron hanging over the pulpit. We also need to install a 10,000 watt sound system so we can hear the skinny jeans wearing dude whisper really loud into the microphone that he looks like he is trying to eat. Oh and don't forget to build a plexiglass cage around the drummer and get yourself a plexiglass pulpit with the church logo etched into it.
Looks like a lutheran church i went to when i was a kid
Nice sounding trumpet sound on that pipe organ..what's the name on the console/organ looks like an old one..nice church it's a shame they didn't take the pipe organ down there actually worth a lot money..
Looking at the size of the organ and its condition you be looking at a replacement value of nearly three quarters of a million dollars
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida yay!!
It isnt abandoned its closed
That’s shuffle board!
So Sad.
You can just toy around on the organ you have to pull out the different stops on the organ there the white knob looking things you pull those out for the different sounds where it says trumpet push that in to turn it off and pull out a different one...
Where is this church?
"That sounds like rock and or roll". 😂
That magnificent organ should be rescued by a church looking for an organ.
Hello 👋 from Australia 🇦🇺 again . Wow what an incredible place! I love churches, thanks for sharing 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
Hopefully, the fact that the organ was left behind means this may be turned into a concert hall.
nope, gonna be condos
What a shame@@Freaktography
That means the electricity was still on. How so if it’s abandoned?
We can raise funds to restore and reopen the church.
"God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands" (Acts 17:24 KJV).
Is that the name of that organ a majestic?? And Dave what county is this church located in what kinda church was it Catholic,,??
3:45 altar guild sounds episcopalian
@@resetsetmefree478 that's not the name of the church that's the name of that room..
@@anthonycoach4551 what I mean is it's a term that episcopalians use , catholics will usually say altar committee or altar society
@@resetsetmefree478 oh ok
Beautiful , Sad to see an empty church, happy to see even vandals fear someone. Thank You. ✌️❤️😊
that was shuffleboard, doll
This church might have
hidden catacombs where
former priest may have been
ordained depending on how
far back this church was built.
Aren't catacombs for the dead?
@@b2617former priest
it's nice to see this church..organ is out of tune...ha..ha..I hope it's not going to be disturbed..any further..it's worth a lot of money..I hope someone reque it ASAP.
Did the organ attract any unwanted attention?
none at all
I hope the organ can be saved. This one is special. The Organ Clearing House could find a new home for it if they became involved.
That game is called shuffle board
Shuffleboard
"Signs for the way to Jesus"?
That's a little disrespectful.
I left after that comment.
