- The second part to the restoration/cleanup on this really cool 1986 Yamaha FZ600. The bike has been sitting for so long that the cleanup and general tidiness of the bike has been a big undertaking.
In this episode I cover a few of the things getting done and what we still need to do to get her back to glory and on the road! It's getting really close to being fired up again after a carburetor cleaning, fork rebuild, brake rebuild, and top end cylinders being gone through. From the cylinders up she's been inspected.

Looking great man! Love me some Yamaha’s! Also I’m finally coming back down tomorrow! Can’t wait to see all your projects in person!
Ha! Was just pulling onto the property this morning wondering when you're going to be showing up. See ya soon man!
Looks great. This was my first new bike.
I still need a seat, some Fairing repairs, new carbs most likely, and brake lines and pads... Slap some tires on it and she's ready to roll!
Just wondering I am currently rebuilding one of these engines and need a carb rebuld kit as one of the needles is missing. where can i find one that will fit?
Start scouring eBay. You'll find some kits out there. You can also give Dynojet a call and ask them directly if they can send the proper kit for your setup. If it's a bone stock exhaust and airbox get the factory spec jets and start from there. Should work perfectly.
Hey I have a 1987 Yamaha fz600, the motor runs, but the generator is fried... I'm pretty new to this, is there any other model that use the same generator or is there you know can I use a regular generic one from another bike??
Yamaha YX 600 Radian is the same engine.
@@MotoMedic thank you so much!!
@@tristenwitt7444 most welcome! If you can't find a part. Find the original stock number and pop that number into eBay with a few keywords. Never know what you can find!
Any updates on The CB900c build and restore?
Will be soon! After Thanksgiving I've had to catch up on actual work 😂
Moto Medic sounds good!
