I have that same Santa's Marching Band. My father gave them to me when my son was just a small boy, he's 35 now. I showed this video to my son, and he immediately looked like that 5 year old boy again. He's in the attic searching for them. Thank you Laura.

As my daughter and I don’t have the same taste, the videos Laura shares of the shopping trips to antique stores with her Mom fill that void for me. I think we all felt like Benjamin as the little Christmas tune rang out so sweetly. What a magical day out and thank you for including us in your wonderful day. Love this! I acquired so many antiques through the years. Many were passed down to me. Your comment to your mom about giving her old stuff to you, really touched my heart. My children are grown with their own families and have come to value well made furniture. So when I remarried last year and moved into my husbands furnished home, I decided I would offer my pieces to my children so they could be the next generation to use them. They gladly accepted! Now I enjoy them at gatherings…and I get to continue antiquing to add my touch to ‘our’ home. Thank you for sharing your antiquing adventure with your mom💜

It seems so strange to see people out and about without masks on. Here in Ireland we still have to wear masks indoors. Our numbers are rising again, unfortunately. Lovely vlog, your mom is a sweetheart. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. :-)

Half of our country insists they have the inalienable RIGHT to sicken and kill anyone they please and to take horse dewormer instead of a vaccine. Those who have respect for others and the brain to protect their own life wear a mask.
Depends on the state. In New Mexico, we must wear masks indoors.

The fog is typically worse near the River, so that would explain why it was thicker in town closer to the Snake River. I can’t help being extra interested and kinda homesick seeing these road trips in my old stomping grounds. I grew up near Ontario and lived in Boise for many years - not far from the fairgrounds where this flea market was. Edwards green house just off Hill Road. The restaurant on the Boise end of the road to Bogus! Golly I miss it there! It was always fun going to these events and places. Thanks for sharing , girls!!!💚💚💚

I love watching your mom and yours adventures. Generally by the end of thm I am a bit tearful. It just reminds me of the times that my mom and I spent together and no longer can. That mother daughter relationship that you have comes through and we can see how much fun the love that you have for each other.

When my oldest was about Benjamin’s age we saw a Santa’s band set similar to the one you bought. More than 20 years later, it’s one of our favorite things to enjoy during the Christmas season.
I too have one of these almost exactly the same, purchased about 30 years ago. My boys who are in their 30s now loved them (and still do ☺) and my granddaughter now is enjoying them as well. I put them up every year and they still look and perform beautifully.

I’m coming up on 5 years of losing my mom unexpectedly and our relationship was a little strained prior to losing her. I love watching your relationship with your mom and I had my first baby girl this year and I pray we create a bond like you and your mom have as well as you and your kids. What a wonderful thing you are sharing with the world. I pray I can be even half the mom that you and your mom are.

Omg! I screamed when I saw the marching band box. I grew up with one of these, and since my Mom will not part with it yet I went on the search on eBay for my own a few years ago so that my kids could grow up with it too.
