In this video I show you how to fix the black and white phone display issue. Man you effing saved me. I was watching Netflix when suddenly my phone turned black and white but me being me, actually thought may be the show has gone black and white ( was watching thriller). I was so surprised to see it wasn't the case, every app was on black and white mode. I tried all methods i could on the internet and ended up on your video. Yeah Google kept saying , "adjust the grayscale", but I couldn't find the darn "grayscale" option on my phone! UGH! 😠

I went to try everything I could just to go back to having colours on my phone. But none of them worked. For the ones where it wasn't on to begin with and it turned to black and white during the ride. You have to go to your settings>Display>color scheme. And put the dot to middle and it should fix the issue

I watched another guy's video and he gave the wrong direction to turn the color back onto the telephone instead of this black and white. I will give you a thumbs up because you actually cured my problem. I've been literally up all night long trying to figure out how to fix this. I was close but I didn't take enough steps. @@RadnusTechnology I think I can manage to do that for you since your instruction enables me to get my phone working correctly by restoring its color. I love my Galaxy 851 but when something like this happens it's nearly impossible to fix it unless you really know what you're doing. Personally I like to explore everything in my settings to see what the possibilities are with the features. Thanks again 🤣👍

I used focus mode on some applications and now it's blinking into black and white... I even turned off focus mode and bedtime mode still that particular applications are black and white

It was still in color, but after around 15 minutes, it was in black and white! I thought it was damaged because of the freezer! 💔 😢 I found your video first here, and as soon as you mentioned bedtime mode, I remembered that I set that yesterday! So I didn't fix it the way you did here, but I went to my alarms/clock, and turned off the feature, and it turned off the black and white feature! But you mentioning it alone helped me! Tried for an hour to disable everything as others suggested nothing helped. Then before factory resetting my phone I tried youtube one more time and found this video. IT WORKED! Why did it turn on in the first place? Who cares now, just leave it off. FU SAMSUNG UPDATES?
Night mode was off and still black and white. Been fighting this for over an hour. Good news, I went somewhere and hit a button and got color back.

On the Samsung S23 Ultra, it's the mode charm, but because it is black and white (selected/switched-on) you won't see the mode, charm. It changes to a bed with moon icon when on. Select this and on the next screen to pop up, shut down the timer option. If this mode is not engaged, it can change the charm icon to a check mark within a circle and switch back to a color screen (complicated).
