    I have a Cattleman, given as a present from a visitor to your great country. In the recent hot spell here in the UK it has been a Godsend! Cannot tell the number of people who have commented on it! All AKUBRA's are great hats but very expensive in the UK. Thanks for telling us about your new hat which looks like a Cattleman with a larger brim??

      Glad to hear it has been helping! The temperatures in the UK have been off the charts from what I hear?
      That is right! These are styled off the Cattleman but are build with a larger brim for the higher temperatures.

    This seems to be an Akubra Territory with a new color and nicer band.

      Hey Jeff, very similar and the band is exceptional!

      And three smaller vent holes instead of the Territory’s larger two. 🤔

    I didn’t realise that some Akubras have hat bands that are manufactured overseas! How disappointing. How can you find out which bands are made in Australia?

    • @goldersromatoowoomba372
      @goldersromatoowoomba372  Před měsícem

      You can ask in store when you are looking to purchase or contact Akubra directly and ask about a specific style.

    Deciding what hat is right online actually requires seeing the hat on a head. Or better a couple different heads. Brim size shows better when on a head. If I can suggest using two hats in any new videos. One on your head and the second in your hand to show different angles. Thx

      Hi P G, thanks for the tip! I appreciate you taking the time. I will do this for the next Akubra video.

    I found the cattleman sat too high on my head and wasn’t comfortable. Is the Riverina a bit deeper by any chance or any recommendations. Would be mainly a working hat so rather no inner liner.

    • @goldersromatoowoomba372
      @goldersromatoowoomba372  Před rokem

      Hi Samuel, the two best options would be either the Riverina (www.golderstoowoombaroma.com/search.php?search_query=riverina) or there is a exclusive style that we carry called the Redgum (www.golderstoowoombaroma.com/search.php?search_query=redgum).
      The other option is that you can slightly adjust the crown by boiling your kettle and using the steam from that (not the water) to reshape it a bit to fit better.
      I think there are a few videos on youtube about it.
      If you have any questions please let us know :)

    Tyson, you said this hat has a 4 inch brim, but on your website it says it's a 90 mm brim, which would be 3.5 inches?

    • @goldersromatoowoomba372
      @goldersromatoowoomba372  Před 2 lety

      Hey, sorry for the delay getting back to you, I just wanted to double check and confirm the size.
      The brim is 95mm. Thank you for the message we have now updated the website with the correct sizing.

    Hey Tyson.. great hats. I had my Golden Spur stolen from a coal mine site in central Queensland. Who does that??
    Anyway its been 4 months and I am ready to move on. I have been watching your CZcams videos and I am liking The territory, the red gum and now the Queenslander... What colours can I currently buy in these styles?

    • @goldersromatoowoomba372
      @goldersromatoowoomba372  Před 2 lety

      Hey @the mean average, sorry to hear about the hat!!!
      I can definitely recommend the Queenslander or the Red Gum (not that I am bias or anything seeing as these are hats we had specially designed for us). However, the territory is also a very solid hat.
      The colours:
      Queenslander: Fawn and Sand
      Red Gum: Bran and Sand
      Territory: Khaki, Sand and Santone Fawn
      If you would like I can send direct links to the product pages so you can see the colours of the ones you are interested in?
      Kind regards,

      I have narrowed it down to the Territory 1st and the Riverina second.
