I’ve been close to a 50 Pounder when firing actual rounds not just a black powder charge. Was at a cannon and mortar shooting competition in the USA one year to go watch them. You feel the concussive force of the shot going off in your chest. It knocks the air out of your chest. It was a magnificent time. With a a round in them they are even louder.
