  • In this video I show how I change the emery papers for my grinding machine.
    Always remember to:
    - use the correct glue kind
    - protect the glue from frost
    - keep the discs clean from grime, glue residues and fat
    - use enough pressure to avoid bubbles.
    P. S. You don't really need to let the glue set for 24 hours, overnight is enough.
All technology and names are proprietary, I rely them solely for informative purposes.
    Happy shearing!

Another tip- A soda/beer can spreads the glue way better than a card.

Wasn't there a way of grinding without paper, using a coarse lathed cast iron disc and grinding abrasive applied directly to the disc?

      That's news to me!
But if you know anything about it do tell, I'm always curious about different ways to do things!

@@gbsklipperi6617 Cast Iron disc with coarse profile and grit directly applied on that disc. I did not find a good video - could be that this shorty is without paper - at least it sounds that way. czcams.com/users/shortsjSIQgbwoFBc?feature=share
I assume it was the older technique bevore emery paper was glued to the discs. But only an assumption. Ask what elderly shearers in Sverige say - maybe they know about. In Germany sometimes it is used today yet. Would be nice you could reply what you found out.

What numbers of paper you use for cut and cutters? Thanks

You seem like a nice guy. But your are putting the washers in the wrong places. One goes between the clamp plate handle and the first disc. The second goes between the nut and the second disc.
