Kaleidoscope Granny Blanket CAL Part 2

  • Hello all and welcome to Wow! Crochet. In today's tutorial we are working on our Crochet along - The Kaleidoscope Blanket Part 2. A special thanks to Fibrespider for allowing us to recreate his version of the blanket.
    In this part of the tutorial we will be working on the peaks of the blanket to form the first Kaleidoscope square.
    Final measurements (2 sizes)
    Small - 84cm square or 33 inches.
    Large - 112cm square or 44inches
    800 grams yarn used in total. 200 grams per skein. When making the larger size, alllow 210 grams for both white and grey.

    I have made a blanket for my grandad it took me about 5 weeks to do it
    It was well explained I did stop and go back for certaint spots quite a few times
    But it was explained well

    I'm am a Kiwi who was taught by my dad to knit but I've taught myself years later to crochet, your vids are great very entertaining and easy to follow. I'm so looking forward to seeing this completed.

    What if you triangle corners are solid colors? How do you continue without cutting yarn?

      Sadly I have been extremely busy in sorting out the written pattern for this tutorial. It may not be available for at least another 4 months.

    Did you make one where you don't have to change colors?

      It doesn't really give the same effect without the colour change. Plus the pattern would have to change a lot due to the centre starting stitch.

      @@angiec62002 that would be OK. But when creating the kaleidoscope blanket and the change of pattern needs to work from the centre of the sides of your project. You could work this way by slip stitching to the centre of that pattern change you will know when watching the video what I mean. I hope this helps
