Sister, I am a Carmelite nun. How many years have you been in religious life? This makes year 13 for me. Things that I miss are so different now that when I first entered.
How do I know my vocation, I know is a journey but sometimes I have this desire to be a part of religious life. I used to want to get married and be in the world. I have this deep conversion this year and when I see my Priests preaching I just feel so drawn to their life. Idk 😅 I feel like “I want what they have”. I feel like I desire to give up everything because when I read the lives of the saints, especially St. Teresa of Avila. I felt so drawn to their life like I want to have a close relationship with Jesus and Mary. I want to be solo and be on this journey with God. Well, I’m still in University and I want to be a teacher because I want to help kids and teach them about God. Maybe after I graduate God will reveal my vocation? Beautiful! Don't forget God himself planted the desires we have in our hearts! So listen to your heart, pray pray pray, and ask God to reveal his plans for your life... All in His time! And meantime, enjoy this beautiful season of waiting :) God is preparing your heart and will reveal your vocation when you're ready :)
When you were a child, and you got a gift or present, and you used it or played with it, and after sometime you got another gift or present which was much more awesome, you stopped paying attention to the first one and put all your attention to the new one. This is exactly what happens when you let God, the greatest gift, pour Himself in your hearts. All past things are just memories, and you won't never change Him for anything or anyone in the whole universe. God transforms you all inside you and your emotions ot feelings are just directed to Him. And the real awesome thing is that you do just so little for that, because He does it for you. Just let Him.
I'm so glad I stumbled across this video and your channel; I'm proud to be #800! I'll pull this video out when talking about vocations with my middle and high schoolers. I plan to check out more of your videos, especially ones encouraging teen girls to consider a consecrated life. I strongly encourage my students to find the mission the Lord has chosen for them, so I hope you are still producing these kinds of videos. Sister Amanda, i here what you are saying about what you have given up for the faith and Jesus, Mary and the church, but in return you have hope for those who come to you for help in their lives who have the things that you gave up on, when a poor of heart needs to be comforted by someone who has a love for the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Mary give that is worthy and filling for the soul, the reason why i am saying this, is because when i suffered bad times with anxiety & stress for many years and found i had no hope left in life for me, all i could find in my last moments of that time, was to pray to Mother Mary from my heart and truly mean with all my heart, i was not answered right away, but months down the line afterwards, Mother Mary came to me in my room, She was the most beautiful woman i have ever seen in my life, Her eyes was so radiant, and Her smile was so perfect i knew who was standing in my room, i asked why are you here, for i am a poor sinner and do not deserve to see such loving beauty of a true Mother, She just smiled at me, Mother Mary said that She had come because ii had a true heart as a child, you care, and no one see that in you, we had spoken for a time that night, and all this time all i could feel was the loving peace from Mother Mary, She told me how to forgive those who has offended you and for myself to seek forgiveness of who i offended in my life time, i was shown many visions of what events that would come to world if people did not return to her Son, and before Mother Mary left me that night, the most amazing thing was when She said to me was this " I Am Your Mother Now" even though my real mother was still alive at that time, but in my heart i knew what She meant, then Her arms reached out over to me and then light came forth into my heart, and i cried and cried floods of tears, for this was the most amazing love i have ever felt ever in my live long breath on this earth, so i say to everyone who seek the truth, be as a child when you come to Mother Mary & Jesus and they will love you with all their Hearts, i am not important in this comment, but Jesus & Mary are if you really want true relationship, Love with All you heart in Prayer is the key. Very honest, I've heard so many things. Autonomy, food, phone, clothes, but if you receive more, you know you are okay. Some realize in the first years, it isn't for them or that order and that's okay too. In looking at so many as an older adult, I see such differences in orders, charisms, the order of the day, time up varies from 4-6am. Recreation varies in time and what you can do. Some have community cells and computers for communication, some only have a landline and no computers. That isn't what you base your decision to discern on but if you know sleeping on a floor vs bed or getting up at 4am, isn't going to work for you, you'll look at other orders.
Sister I pray that you won’t be swayed by too much exposure to the technology of the world with this medium you are using now. There was this young Poor Clare nun who was vlogging (why her superior allowed her in the first place)and eventually left and seems to be lost and wandering about now. And this Italian sister who joined a singing contest in Italy where she won, gained popularity, then , left her community and is now a waitress somewhere in Italy.

Sister, I know you've given up more than just wearing jeans and french fries, which I'm sure you get at the convent anyway. To quote the second chapter in First John, you've given up "what the sinful self desires, what people see and want, everything in this world that people are so proud of....You've given up the world and everything in it that's passing away....."
@@rhodiusscrolls3080 well. Furthermore, if there is the dark elite, they are dark but there are various dark styles some dark good some dark neat. It also recquires a sort of darker women styles. So the sister talks about dark things occasionally. She may not intend it so just yet, but it enriches our experience.

I invented Morgul out of my memories, but He isn't in a leading position. His older brother i guess has some influence. But i am not all that sure that He is His older brother.

Very honest, I've heard so many things. Autonomy, food, phone, clothes, but if you receive more, you know you are okay.
