I was waiting for such a video. The following are the suggestions in altering the glue gun: 1. The air in let arrangement should be completely sealed till the air sucked by the exhaust fan and also the exhaust fan should be covered to the minimum. So that the fan can suck more air. 2. The fan should be operated at full voltage of 12volt for high speed. 3. Inorder to accomodate the power supply inside the gun and use the power chord for smps P.S and the heater in the gun your this arrangement is look nice but the power supply is of ,9 volt/1 amp will not be sufficient for the fan to run at full speed. You can keep power supply in a separate box outside and cable to fan can be drawn from it with banana sockets; the power cable of the heating element left as it is. 4. The nozzle bore should be trimmed and bored and an antenna barrel of 2" can be inserted at the front by brazing it. This arrangement will provide hot air to be focused on the target chip,etc. Perhaps my suggestions are a laborious one but it will give good results.
Sir are u making mobile.....i need to teach me how to use multimeter checking mobile pcb short....how to find shorting what value to found multimeter shorting can u give us video
We are watching this because we dont have a hot air gun . Yet you have to have one to make one . You might could've came up with another way to shrink the bottle , use somethin else I need a heat gun for alot of projects . I live 2 hours from a stor . I'm way out in the TX hill Country . I cant hop in the truck and run down to a store here.so slot of things gets made using common sense and parts . The way I like it ...
Point well noted. There are other methods to shrink the bottle e.g. you could just use igniter / hair dryer or simple lighter/ torch with protection of course to apply heat and shrink bottle. Or if some other suggestion clicks to your mind may be some other alternative to bottle would be great. Hit us up with the idea & good luck with your diy project. Happy to help!

wish you had named it "Failed Hot Air Gun from Hot Glue Gun" and would have saved me the time to find out it is not what you said it was.

You should drill the nozzle of the glue gun because there is a stopper inside of it that's why the air can't pass through..

first thought that the temperature from glue gun wont be sufficient for soldering. turns out it was nit addressed in the video
