You look great Show them off My 3 year old had her installation about the same time you got yours and she looks fab. I got mine in October last year and enjoying it everyday . Sister locks gives you freedom with your hair
Your hair is beautiful and I’m starting this journey in 2 weeks and I already know I’m not going to wear it out for awhile. Thankfully I’m working from home. Question. How do you cover your Locs since you don’t wear them ? DMV ❤️
New subscriber. I love your hair, I can’t believe you don’t wear it out! It’s really flattering. I’m in DMV as well (MD), i’ll be going to get mine installed on May 23-24. I pray that mine look as nice as yours in time. I’m starting off with 4-6” of hair (grown out pixie cut). I’m afraid of looking like the crypt keeper but we all have to start somewhere 😂. Thanks for sharing your journey.
@@AdenikeOlaleye Hey! My install went well! It’s been 3 months since and my hair is ever changing. It’s crazy how much it changes with every wash and retie. I’ve been doing a terrible job of documenting my journey though. I need to get on top of it. Thanks for reaching out. It means so much!
Omg!!! I’m so happy I came across your video. Our hair texture, color, and locs are just about identical. I started my journey in Jan 21 and I’ve been looking for someone with similar locs to mine. Please continue to upload. This is a fantastic video. 💕💕💕
Omg!!! You are speaking to me. You’re in Maryland 👀. Your struggles are my struggles. I I have 4Z hair. Yes, 4Z. Hard lifeless hair. My hair sheds sooooo much I should be bald. I feel my hair holds me back from living before goddess locs. Locs gave me freedom, but now I want even more freedom. I install my goddess locs every 90 days. Big chop in 2014. My hair is 12-14 inches long…I estimate sister locs will cost me $1,750 for the install and $200 per month in my Orange County, CA zipcode. 😮 I’m doing it myself. I’m a diy’er all day. Thanks for the video. 🙏🏾
I love your honesty, and you are so real. I will start my journey on November 9th. I am excited and scared all at the same time. I am so glad I am watching these videos. The mistake well am not sure if it's a mistake, but I already deposited $450. I did not have the test lock done. I have seen the installer work a few times, and she has been doing it for over 20 years. Her work is beautiful. I am more scared of the initial process and how my hair will look, but I know I will love it as it grows. By the way, your hair looks beautiful.
Damn! That’s good! Wish I went to a trainee…lol. My micros going to cost way more than that and I have the same amount of hair you started with. Yours looks so pretty!
This was so helpful. Thank you. I just started my Sister Loc journey in March 2020. Like the other sister, I have no idea when I will be able to get a retightening, but I love my locs. Your locs are gorgeous. Wear them out.
Hasna Fuller i wish I knew the colors lol! I just picked them off the color wheel at the hair salon so the top half is a different color than the back half
Your locks are Gorgeous 😍😍😍Would you mind sharing this color brown? I'm thinking about starting my lock journey....but I want it colored like this..glad I found this video* Thank you for sharing your story!
I love your hair I'm thinking about doing some diy micro locs since I can't afford sister locs right now. By the way what color is your hair? it's so pretty I can't wait to get into the video in at work right now so I really get into it,but I do have it saved
Erika Essiem I’d say it depends on whether or not you’ll be wearing them out as soon as you get them done. You aren’t supposed to dye your hair for the first year so if you don’t do it before you have to wait until after. However your color will last, so even after a year you’ll see the color you did prior to just growing out. The color can also make you more comfortable wearing out your locs too.
I been locks for 3 wks but because of the virus 🦠 going on don’t know when I be able to get my retighten my loctician said that we will work something out
That’s not true about the fee if you are over your schedule appt....I would suggest to find someone who is experienced and not money hungry that’s wrong.....you will be charged an hourly rate which is not the same....
You look great Show them off

Hey, love the hair color! What color is that? I do know the shop and LOVE THEM too. I just wanna know the color lol.
Hasna Fuller i wish I knew the colors lol! I just picked them off the color wheel at the hair salon so the top half is a different color than the back half
That’s color is amazing on you. I’ve been trying to get that color in my strikes unsuccessfully 😩
Minding my own business - thank you! I wanted it brighter but it’s okay, I may try and get it brighter if I can.
Thank you for sharing! Very helpful info

You are not suppose to pay for your consult unless it goes towards your install
Yasssss upload! Yasss sister locs!!!!
Your locks are Gorgeous 😍😍😍Would you mind sharing this color brown? I'm thinking about starting my lock journey....but I want it colored like this..glad I found this video* Thank you for sharing your story!
PattiLaPalma * I don’t know the name of the color 🥴 I just picked colors from a color wheel. I dyed my hair at loclov dc

I love your locks and the color!
That’s a pretty color in your hair
Portia Mckinney thank you I appreciate it!
They are so CUTE!!!!
Thank you so much!! Excited to see how they mature!
Nice color!! I kinda wish my loc size was bigger tooo. Mine are smaller than yours. Have you thought about becoming a consultant yourself?
Kae thank you! I could never! It’s too time consuming and I don’t like serving people lol 🤣
I am a #newsubscriber that published a one year anniversary. I look forward to more content.
Thank you! I’m definitely going to try aka be consistent! 🤗
omg you are gorgeous
Thanks so much! don't make me blush!
Do you still have your Sisterlocs?
💗💗💗
I am wondering if I should color my hair prior to establishment.
Erika Essiem I’d say it depends on whether or not you’ll be wearing them out as soon as you get them done. Do you suppose to have that knots at the end of your hair or is that’s just how ppl locks form
Yup it’s just how your locs form. I have some bunching on a couple locs
Trainees are cheaper to have them installed don’t let them fool you
I been locks for 3 wks but because of the virus 🦠 going on don’t know when I be able to get my retighten my loctician said that we will work something out
Yes same here. I’m hanging in there until I hear word that this is all over.
That’s not true about the fee if you are over your schedule appt....I would suggest to find someone who is experienced and not money hungry that’s wrong.....you will be charged an hourly rate which is not the same....
Nice video! Thank you!
I'm glad you liked it! I was nervous lol
😍😍😍
Yeah I more like a ombré color
And where are your locations, cuz I’m here in Orlando fla
Portia Mckinney I’m located in the dmv
Wear your hair girl. Just do it
How much did you pay , if you don’t mind sharing that part of info
Portia Mckinney I believe she said she paid $775. She got them done by a trainee, and it took 3 days 7am-11pm each day.
Yes that's correct! Def an investment
