It’s a little sad if you think about it. Steven gives her the kind of honesty and softness that Marc cannot or refused to give. Only with Steven are they able to be so nice and genuine to each other. Steven is the only way Layla can get a healthy relationship with Marc.
Yeah I see what you mean. Steven has a more shy and reserved yet kind personality which lets him be able to treat Layla a lot better. Like he’s able to be more vulnerable and open with her. But Marc is much more closed off which makes his relationship with her a bit more difficult. He couldn’t even talk to her about his DID and about Steven.

Also about Jake, his brother might be angry at him for the things he has been doing. But ultimately they understand him. They will try to encourage him to be normal and live a full life like them. Instead of simply being an assassin and hiding in the shadows of their mind.
