I came to Canada as a permanent resident two years ago and had my salary account which is still not NRI, my investments are in Canada and I've not transferred anything yet but having been transferring to my family only. your bank will commit a certain interest rate, which is higher than FD rates. You will get the same at the time of maturity. No tds applicable from FCNR to INR as long as you are investing from your NRE account.. Better check with your bank for more info.
