Hi from Oamaru New Zealand. I have the Dcs9010 and ea7900. Beautiful. Just make sure to warm up before full throttle it. I asked Makita for a heavy duty air filter which they gave for a upgrade.
I’ve had coil problems with my ps 6400. The saws about 11 years old but only has about 10 hours on it. Was running great then just quit. Put on an aftermarket coil, never ran right, called Makita got the right part number. It runs great now. On arboristsite there’s a post about an owner put a Husqvarna 272 coil with a little modification. Now makita no longer sells gas saws in US. Do love my saw but man parts are expensive when they can be found.

Don't know why but they never got an equal share like husqvarna and stihl or even echo now . But dolmars are equally as good as any of them and sometimes better . Pity they got taken over by makita and even they are said to be finished with gas powered stuff
Hello from Australia...why is it that people, the few people, who wisely buy a Dolmar become "religious" almost like a cult about these saws? I have the Makita 7901 without catalytic muffler. I cut new and dry Eucalyptus and Ironbark here. Side by side cuts faster than Husq or Stihl, revs faster and pulls a narrower chain.

They come stock with a warning that says, "Not only will this kill you - it'll HURT THE WHOLE TIME!" I'm glad to see you had the grapes to be one of the very few that didn't succumb to the product recall, choosing instead, to keep this beautiful specimen of a saw in it's virgin, unadulterated state. Not only that, but HE RUNS HIS SAWS, FOLKS! 😆

Very nice collection! I too have a 120si and it's a dandy for an old saw, nothing else sounds like it when it's idling, it just sounds fierce!
That 120si/6800i platform was the pinnacle of Dolmar imho. That transition into the PS series

If the D009 doesn’t fit you change the bar studs (I think).
