Setting up DosBox for PSP! This can be very glitchy and some games are hard to run.

Pro tip to viewers watching this, if you hold “L”, “R”, “Select”, and “Down” on the system it will swap the keyboard input to directional key input, so you can use them like wasd. Do the same input to swap back to the keyboard
Great tip, thanks. Do you know how you map triangle, circle, X, square, L1, R1? Square is already mapped but no others

Hi friend, excellent video as always, you know maybe why games load without audio ?
Using DosBox on PSP is trial and error situation, but you can get some earlier DOS games to run quite well if you do custom configs and launchers for individual games (I have made some). Don't bother with later DOS based games, they all run like 2 fps because lack of optimization and there is no newer version of DosBox for PSP because nobody has interest of compiling the latest source code

You can run it but I heard it takes more than 12 minutes to just booting it up :D

One question: After I transfer the files, when I try to open the memory card storage to access the application, the PSP freezes and shuts off. Do you know what might cause this?
Edit: Never mind! It was a file structure issue due to an organization homebrew. Thanks for the video.

Not really, if I record the screen it's laggy, and it won't even show most homebrew apps when they are opened.

No, since you have to use "Adrenaline (PSP Emulator) "to do this in your PS Vita, it doesn't work any better

Yes... Why ask... If it runs on psp then chances are it runs on adrenaline.

Is gta 3 a dosbox game?
No, but you always have gta liberty citys stories for psp, its similar, and set in the same city. Just in case you didnt know.
@@danieldaniels22 well I do know. But I was asking bc I do not really know what "Dosbox" is. What games are supported by this platform and stuff
@@MusicByRivals Well, Dos is basically a computer system that was before windows, and dosbox is something that emulates this system envoirment to play games created for it properly, because they might now work well on new systems. Gta III came out on Windows 2000/Xp so it's not a dos game. Actually some time ago I was also searching for a way to play Gta III on psp, but haven't found a way to do that yet 🤔 But you can also play gta III on android or iphone if you really want to ? 😉
@@danieldaniels22 thanks for the information. Well I played all android versions of gta already and I'm also searching for a way to play gta san andreas on the vita for example or just play ps2 games on vita... Maybe also gta 3 on psp idk
@@MusicByRivals hah, I would like that too, to just play ps2 on Vita, but somebody would have to port those games, and as far as Im aware theres no way now to "emulate" ps2 on vita. The only way i think to play for example San Andreas on Vita is throught remote play, Pc to Vita or ps4 to vita. It's always something, but it would be awesome obviously to just put ps2 iso on vita and play. 😉

You… didn't sound like you had any idea of what you were doing when you made this. As in, you had _zero_ familiarity with MS-DOS, EXE files, operating systems, the command prompt, or _DOSBox._ That said, I'm sure this is a decent enough introduction into running _DOSBox_ on the PSP, but… not very useful, overall.
