Unfortunately, those who haven't experienced dementia close up, probably won't comprehend the classic symptoms that Trump exhibits, like worsening incoherence, inability to articulate, memory loss while speaking, slurred speech (as though losing control of one's tongue). This inevitably leads to down hill deterioration. Trump should have had a proper diagnosis by now, but his narcissistic personality is in denial because any illness, especially one that brings such drastic loss of control, suggests weakness..... and that possibility, as everyone knows by now, terrifies him.

Slurring is a sign of a TIA, a mini stroke.
It's more than just slurring. It's disorganized thinking and paraphasic speech errors (nonsensical words, word substitution, etc). This is most likely frontotemporal dementia. Kind of like Alzheimer's but less memory problems, faster onset and more language and cognitive dysfunction.

What a tool
I had a stroke during surgery when I was 42 years old. It's taken 15 years, at least, to start to overcome the speech problems I had after the stroke. He sounds so much like he has already had some small strokes. And it is getting a lot more serious. AND SLEEPING DURING THE DAY IS A BIG SIGN OF DEMENTIA. I took care of my parents for the past 10 years. I watched them both decline. Erratic sleep patterns is a huge red flag. Being up in the middle of the night. Being paranoid. Slurring words. Having moments of not being able to remember then snapping out of it. Sounding perfectly fine when talking to someone they see not very often but if you are there every day, they are repeating themselves and telling stories that didn't happen. They pull things together wildly out of the air. It's like their brains have huge gaps and they just try to take all the spare parts of thoughts and string them together. But the sleeping during the day is such a big marker. I don't understand why more doctors don't speak up and say that he needs to be medically checked out. And quickly. My dad went downhill for 2 years. We all knew it. Turns out he actually had kidney cancer (!) and was diagnosed 7 days before he died. He isn't doing himself any favors by surrounding him with people propping him up telling him he's fine. He's not fine. There is something wrong. And probably several somethings. If his blood sugar is going too high after he eats breakfast and he falls asleep in the morning and afternoon, then he needs his blood sugars stabilized. There's no comparison with Biden. Biden is smart and on the ball with policy and foreign policy (even if we don't agree with it) and he's reading reports and not flushing them down the toilet. Biden's voice is sounding weaker. But he's still making sense. Trump is just melting. He needs superb medical help. And he doesn't need to be running for office. Whoever he picks as VP is soon going to just be P.
