The saddest meal I ever had, I went to a nice restaurant and got a table while I waited for my date. I wanted to take her somewhere nice for my birthday and even told this to the waitress as she made conversation. After about 10 minutes the waitress came back and asked if I wanted to go ahead and get drinks, so I did. Some 15 minutes after that, she had asked if I wanted to order food and she had tried to reassure me she was just late or something. The steak kinda had a bit of a salty taste from the tears. About 40 minutes into the "date" the waitress sat and talked with me for a minute and said that she had talked to the manager and they were just going to comp the meal. I declined her offer for a free dessert. A few minutes later I left and dried my tears before calling a friend and making plans to hang out. It wasn't my birthday, and I had no date.

I was so broke that I ate watercress weeds picked from a cow pasture.
Probably my 15th birthday, the food wasn't terrible but that fresh after getting burnt i still couldn't feed myself, it was easily my worst birthday
