Still going at it like the 90s
Wholehearted endings one after another! Not one hint towards a future arc in sight from the three protagonist teams so far.
Actually the only real important teams are just Shun and Isla can be seen easily because they have more scenes than the rest and even the only teams that are seen returning and clearly the only ones that really entered that dimension as it's seen that they appear in the scene of the other, the sacred treasure team was just privileged by Kyo being the original protagonist of KOF but clearly they were irrelevant like the whole Orochi issue and Ash's case was just because it was his fault that all that happened but in the end his team was secundary.
Iori is not dead nor did he necessarily lose to Kyo. They always fight to a draw, talk crap to each other and go their separate ways.
Makes sense, considering as much as their families have rivalries, and in spite of their hate for each other, the way Kyo and Iori are, they respect each other too damn much to really kill each other, considering that they also know that their petty rivalry is _NOTHING_ compared to the real threat that Orochi could rise again, that someone else besides its followers or Those From The Past will try to reawaken Orochi and use its power to end the world.
@@BryonYoungblood as much as it does seem repetitive, their rivalry feels lowkey like a street gang rivalry, one that SEEMS very brutal until you realize the limit it actually has.
@@KaseySendou Yeah, exactly. And in spite of it all, and how much they hate each other, Kyo and Iori, as I said, respect each other still, and are willing to work together as they have done many times in the past.

It's about time Yuki appeared again. I remember they built her up as something akin to Kushinada-hime, a maiden who was to be sacrificed to the Yamata no-Orochi but was saved by the God Susano-o and married him.

Judging from the last character for the dlc I wonder if Orochi or another older boss character from the series will come, I’m also hoping for Shinto Yabuki and Orochi Iori and Leona to come back
It would be cool if another boss came into a DLC role like we got Rugal to come back. Maybe it could be Goenitz, since he likely had his soul infused into Verse's form and it was released when Verse met his defeat at the end of the last game, like Rugal, Ash, and Team Orochi did. Plus there's also Leona's biological dad Gaidel who was inside of Verse, as well as others like Igniz, Krizalid, and Mizuki from Samurai Shodown 2 hinted as speaking through him.

I think that the next king of fighters game they should have orochi return as a playable character and that team sacred treasure and team Japan should be the protagonists of the story this time
Doubt they do that they more worried about new characters when the old characters are far better and have more substance to tell a story

@@ameernurhaqeem9738 Nah honestly it's time that the most iconic and not just KOF but Fatal Fury and AOF heroes do something (KOF exists for them anyway) they have already exaggerated a lot with the new rookie magically wins and the rest do nothing in the plot having several characters that could do more.
As the other protagonists are not secondary they are irrelevant, K' joined with Terry and Ryo to have a comedy ending no longer matters in the story, and the whole Orochi theme was not really important, it never was, it was an excuse to that Kyo and Iori team up, the same as Chizuru is at this point a character that is a living excuse for Kyo and Iori to team up but she doesn't do anything, you can see how she didn't do anything in this ending and just disappeared, Ash is not going to contribute either, the only thing was that he came back to the series and he already did. Although it's to be expected that the next game Shun will be the main character, there is absolutely nothing to indicate that this plot will continue as in other games in the series, something rare.

I wouldn't say kof protagonist become irrelevant after their arc lunar. Kyo still had a role to play in the nest saga.

@@ameernurhaqeem9738 Not really, Goku has beaten Vegeta at times, and Naruto has beaten Sasuke for example. But those characters are still rivals.
@@resolvedfate1295 Actually Goku has never defeated Vegeta in a confirmed way, ironically the 2 great fights of Goku and Vegeta ended with Goku incapacitated, the first Goku injured his body to be stronger and attack Vegeta but in the end he failed and had to be saved by Gohan, Krilin and Yajirobe, the second was tied and they stopped that fight because of Boo's awakening and Vegeta knocked him unconscious when he was distracted, then their fights are training but without conclusion in reality.
I don't think that'll stop Iori. It was suggested by Tung in XIV that Iori actually enjoys antagonizing Kyo.

Otoma-Raga is a beautiful villain! And she's same power to Gill to Capcom counterpart, Resurrection, but for 25%! In a possible Capcom vs Snk 3, i want him and her like main antagonist, or a possible tag team with them!

Nope it was level 3 normal. AI did change though after the update so they move a lot more now lol

Saisyu, Shingo, and Yuki is a weird team I want to see happen.
I dunno why but all three of them remind me of Susano'o, Tsukiyomi and Amaterasu respectfully. The three kami(Three Precious Children.)
Because they're based on those legends. The sacred treasures Kyo's Kusanagi sword, Iori's Magatama and Chizuru's Yata mirror are actually the 3 objects from the Japanese legends. Susanoo defeated Orochi and took the Kusanagi's sword out of his tail in one of the legends. The 3 treasures also represent courage, kindness and wisdom .

SNK said that they were gonna have a big story mode at the launch of this game with cinematic cutscenes, and it didn't happen. Disappointed!
Are you looking at the same game because this definitely has cinematic cutscenes and the story can be as big as amount of characters you use for different perspectives.

@@RedVenomCorp Ok i did and...still hold the same opinion, the so called points of view aren't as great as advertised they are well...as a regular game of the franchise. Maybe i just have much expectations for this game but after the announcement of 39 characters and the 3 waves of dlc, i haven't stopped to feel disappointed, probably because i was expecting something big after what happened in kof xiv, of course there's gonna be a sequel i just wished it was for other reasons, if you liked fine, that's good, but me, well I'll just what'll happen...
@@RedVenomCorp I understand and I have, that is one part of the expectations that HAVEN'T been shattered, they have said this in the release date trailer. Don't get me wrong at all, the gameplay is great and the graphics are a huge improvement, I still think XIV is very fun, but XV is many steps forward.

Look at the scene after the credits. Kyo came back to his girlfriend Yuki. That means Kyo must have finally beaten Iori.
i mean, what would that tell us at the end? that one is stronger than the other? i think that is better explained on a actual playable battle and SNK knows that, ergo, yo can unravel the ending of that match however you want by yourself
Shame that Rugal doesn't seem to be in this, considering that KOF14 indicated that he was revived along with everyone else, and a leak that got every single character in the base roster and both of the revealed DLC teams so far correct said that he'd be in this. Still, the game looks like fun, and I'm looking forward to playing it.
He might be in the 3rd or 4th DLC team...but we'll see.

Nah Chizuru now she is just a character whose only role is to be an excuse for Kyo and Iori to team up, she didn't get into this fight because her role was really just that, it's a shame but the character doesn't do anything anymore.
