Stg I hope your pillows are forever cool. You deserve to get your gooch by your crash for years
Not just telling us the creature/what they are, but talking in depth about the legend and some history, mad respect
yeah thats what everyone does though. stop praising the bare minimum.
@@MsMoonDragoon some don't do the *BARE MINIMUM*
I have lived in Colorado my entire life and have never heard of the Slide Rock Bolter. It's such an interesting concept, being a possible explanation for anyone who goes missing in the mountains. It would also explain the little indents in mountainsides.
I love mythology, and it's nice to hear stories that are a lot more local than something on the other side of the country (or even world). Thanks for including all the states!
Me neither, but I was hoping I wouldn't be disappointed by our monster, and I wasn't!
You never heard of Slide Rock Bolter, I'm from Florida and I've heard of it
I thought that mine was Bigfoot but I live in Illinois.
Hey Ohio, Dr. Sues called, he wants his creature back
It looks so goofy 💀
Lol
i love how all of the water-related ones have cute names
A yes mi tsihurak
Loveland frog men
What do you mean Utah literally means a Utah raptor
Yeah *TIZHERUK* is a real cute name.
@@thehorroranalog2943I find it very cute, thank you very much
As a Minnesotan, I do think the Wendigo is extremely interesting and the Wendigo Psychosis story is chilling not scary but imagining that happening is terrifying
I’m from Minnesota I heard a lot of stories growing up
As another Minnesotan heard my share of stories.
Is it just me or do you like imagining monsters as actual animals
@@Evil_mastermind_zomboss I do but because a monster is human first doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed
@@DaCheese_Wendigoeh I don't think monsters are always human first or the majority of time, usually we aren't accurate about what they are and they're believed to be evil so we just say monster
This was so cool and fun to watch!! Great video
Specter moose. That’s wicked dope dude. Had no idea. Now I’ll have to do some research of my own.
North Dakota: legendary mythical bird of remarkable power.
South Dakota: Bigfoot with a hat.
Hey, birds are pretty common in my experience. But a snazzily dressed sasquatch? You don't see that every day.
I've lived in Ohio 40+ years and have heard of the frogman once or twice. The more commonly known crypted is the Dogman. Cross between werewolf & bigfoot.
I was camping at Cowan lake state park in Ohio and there was a trail called dogwood trail I went on this trail with my cousin as we walked down we noticed this face in the tree wethought it was funny and took a picture of it and I started joking about it being dog-man (I didn’t know it was an actual thing) so obviously this wasn’t a dog-man but considering we were joking about it the whole time kinda freaks me out that it was a real this lol
😂tbh I hear more about moth more then frog men it's first
Of course Ohio has the weirdest one
Only in Ohio
The one my dad has sworn to God and his mother's grave that he's seen, is grassman. It's not one I hear about in the appelacian Ohio region a lot but my dad, to this day will absolutely tell you he's seen the grassman.
You bringing up lost tapes brought back memories 😭 no one knows what im talking about when I bring it up
love your stuff! my only gripe is the mouth clicks that come through, but audio editing is my job lol, glad to have you up there with wendigoon and lore lodge now!
Folk tales are so cool tbh. They range from low effort to the most horrifying things you can think of. Not just in America, but all over the world. People are super creative and it's cool to learn about these things
Ikr! Its like documented human fears throughout history

I am a Californian, and I actually have my own experience regarding Dark Watchers/Shadow people. It was either earlier this year or sometime last year (I dont remember exactly when because my memory is shit with time and dates), but there was a full super moon I had heard about coming up soon. I love the moon a lot, and it was supposed to be extremely clear that night. Also, I believe my mother was gone at the time since she had a high school reunion to go to, and was going to spend the night at a friends house since she would be drinking and all that. So that night, I was talking to my younger sister about it and if she wanted to view the moon with me. And she agreed thankfully too as I hate being out at night alone. Instead of my backyard, I chose to stand on my porch in the front yard. And the moon was so big and bright outside, that it was almost like the sun was out. We were probably outside enjoying it for a good 5 mins by this point, and I could see my entire street at 11/12pm very clearly. That was when I had got a small tugging, instinctual feeling to look over to my next door neighbors house, and at their driverway. Specifically, the feeling we were being watched. Normally my neighbors park their cars inside their garage. But this day, they decided to just park it in the drive way. Immediately, I look over to their car, and had spotted a black figure peering its head out and over the hood of the car from the shoulders up. Obviously I got scared, thinking it was a random weirdo watching my sister and I, and he was going to hurt us. But considering how bright outside it was, I should have been able to make out any type of feature on their face, even hair or clothes, considering how close my neighbors driveway is to my porch. But it was almost like they were a black void. The shape of a head and shoulders, no hair, no eyes, nothing. But it was as if, despite the lack of eyes, I knew it was looking directly at us. And after I looked at them back, they had ducked down behind my neighbors car and that was it. I didnt see any feet under the car, nor did it run off, it was like it disappeared entirely. I freaked out so bad, I was dragging my sister back into the house before making sure everything was locked. And I definitely didnt get any sleep that night. My area is crazy haunted considering I live near an area where a famous serial murder case happened, as well as other things. And Ive had other experiences with spirits on the regular in my house alone, but the vibe from this thing was different.
Sounds like u may just need glasses ngl

keep up the awsome work
West Virginia has a large culture for cryptids. We have many different cryptids within the state like the flat woods monster, sheepsquatch, Ogua, etc. Last year I worked at a bar that was hosting one of our cryptid events and it was very interesting listening to the cryptozoologists speak and answer questions. Everyone was very kind and it was packed! That being said I didn’t realize the rest of the country had so many “cryptids” as well. I also didn’t realize moth man came up in different states and countries!
Loved the video!
Love how they did the cryptids for FO76
It's very interesting! I live in Wisconsin and there are reports where people have sworn up and down the ladder that they've seen vampires, skinwalkers, wendigos, GNOMES (I kid you not), black shuck, etc.
Can’t forget the not deer
@evanf1443 I feel like those are less cryptid qnd more just a thing that happens and they're terrifying
That is because of the Meth…lolol lack of sleep will do a number on your mind🥴😵💫🐖
A native Utahn, having lived here my whole life, I never heard of the Bear Lake Monster. However, I am surprised you didn't delve into the Skinwalkers story. Legend has it the Navajos kidnapped members of a Ute tribe. The Utes, furiated by this invasion, cursed the land of the Navajos in eastern Utah. Since then, skinwalkers have been allegedly seen around, especially at Skinwalker Ranch. Personally, a skinwalker is more terrifying than the Bear Lake monster.
I have heard of the bear lake monster but genuinely I think skin walkers are way more terrifying like there are so many sightings and story's about them... they feel more real to me rather than the bear lake monster
My dad lived on the Navajo reservation for a couple years. He swears he was woken one night by a Skinwalker looking in through the trailer window.
@jamiegomm5695 I was down in vernal utah near the path of the skin walker ... I gotta say it really changed my skepticism - from weird noises to mutilated baby dear .. hell even glowing lights to bright to be a regular spot light in the distance ... not to mention the utter feeling of dread I had in the pit of my stomach , it was just horribly off putting .
Skinwalkers might actually be real too so that's scary 😨
They have goofy backs lol
Awesome vid. I have lived my whole life in Indiana, and never heard of a giant snapping turtle called The Beast of Busco, but you better believe I’m gonna dig into more info on it now!
Very interesting. Enjoyed it.
Fun fact the menehune from hawaii are real but not in the way you think. You see in the beginning of hawaii there were migrational waves. First of which was the marquesan people. They started on the upper islands of the chain. And the second wave was from the bigger Polynesians like tahitian. And if I were a 4ft tall dude and I saw this 7ft tall 400 pound Giant civilization out of no where I would be terrified and go into hiding during the night.😊
I think any anthropological materialist explanations for myths and folk beliefs are plausible but nothing more than that. Scientists have forgotten what it is to live as a "primitive" person and so they come up with purely materialist explanations for myths and other beliefs that aren't strictly logical by modern belief structures. There are very many ethnic groups who have folk beliefs in little people, including many European peoples.
@@connor3284 yes. But the scientist have not came up with this one. It is a story or mo'olelo passed down for generations.
i live in mississippi and have heard a lot about the aliens in pascagoula. my dad grew up there and was 13 when it happened. the men worked at ingalls shipyard and actually worked with my grandfather. it was an older guy and a younger one, the older one passed away but the younger one is still alive. they both had the same story, looked extremely scared after it happened, even called the police when it happened, and stuck to their story for their entire lives. they both went to therapists and psychologists after it happened and they all came to the same conclusion that both men had been through an extremely traumatic experience. crazy story and one of the most believable alien abduction stories there is to date.
i live in pascagoula but never in my life have i heard about these elephant men but still i had my own monster siting back in early 2022 it was a serpentine like beast with brown skin and a long like body people say it was a log but i swung some chain into the water then the beast turned and followed it i threw the chain back onto land and i ran back home telling my mother about this but nobody believes me but still i go back to the place i saw it and check to see if has returned or not...ive never saw it again
Shared psychosis
Same as me
I live in Mississippi
My aunt and uncle work at ingalls
Very cool video!
Also, Mogollon is pronounced like Moh-ge-yawn. Definitely a more tricky one if you arent used to it :)
as a American I can confirm that there might be a monster called siren head that roams the dark forest at night so if you go out camping make sure to bring a flashlight some survival objects that will make you live and survive it and also if you hear a creepy noise outside in the forest do Not investigate as it could lead to consequences...
Here's one for you, although it's only tangentially related...
When I was a VERY little girl, I had a nightmare about a small snake head poking out of a lakes surface to look at me standing in the water just on the shore. Next thing I recall was seeing a huge gator-like scaly back. I recall that I was grabbed by this thing and dragged through the water while people on the lake shore sat on bleachers and reacted like they were at a sporting event. *I was, like, 4, and all my dreams are fucked up weird like this). I then recall third-person walking into a building for helping and talking to family with bloody feet, leaving red footprints in my wake.
A couple of years later, around age 9, I saw my very first piece of documentary about Loch Ness and the theorhetical "Branchiosaurus of the sea" that it might supposedly still be. I feel like I dreamed about a very real - even if long extinct - creature LONG before every hearing about it in real life.
Reincarnation theory: its how a past self died
(Not sure if I believe in reincarnation, also possible you saw an image of the lochness monster and don’t recall it)
I’ve always believed that dreams have some form of telling of the future. Not always, but sometimes.
@Revvmew_Ravenpaw I had a dream when ym ex and I were getting divorced that he was standing in the slightly open door of our bedroom while I pretended to be asleep, then came i with a knife and murdered me *shudder* freaky dream... never was physically violent with me tho.
I am pretty sure he DID stand in the doorway like that once though... really creepy when someone does that.
Not sure what that dream was telling me!
I'm from Michigan and have known about the dogman for a while now (since I was a teenager) and haven't ever seen anything like that, however, speaking from experience, the woods, backroads and small towns in rural Michigan are very eerie. Also, there are a ton of abandoned sites and buildings including, insane asylums and factories. From my hometown, there is a famously haunted cemetery where people say not to go at night because of the things that happen out there, people claim that they've seen bleeding statues, goblins, an old woman named Minnie Ha Ha and of course, spooky noises. Many of the buildings around the town are said to be haunted, as many were built over 100 years ago, my childhood house was also probably haunted. It was built in the early 1900's and my mother and I both experienced many strange things and, to make things more eerie, we discovered the man who built the house had also hanged himself in it. My mother claimed once that she came home (while I was out of course) and when she walked into our dining room she saw an old man with a long white beard sitting at our table looking downwards. She attempted to say something to him and he vanished. I myself have heard strange noises like floorboards creaking in spots where it would only creak when someone walked on it, and things being moved around like cups and doors. I'm not a huge ghost believer, but alot of the houses there give off that same creepy feeling and many residents have similar stories. There's also the famous "Shoe tree" in Belding MI, where a young boy who lived during the depression, spent many winters without shoes and as a result he died of a frostbite induced infection. It's said that he cursed the fact that such a basic necessity didn't grow on trees. On the first anniversary of his death, a pair appeared on one of the low hanging branches. Since then, every year, more and more shoes have appeared on the tree (mostly due to local teens who want to see a ghost). It's said that his ghost can be seen each night as the sun sets, watching over his crop of shoes.
Very true. I lived in Michigan for a while, and there are some areas that I didn't care to be around.
What?! I need a Nike tree, immediately!
You said insane asylum and I immediately thought of Eloise. Also the Hells Bridge in Algona Twp is incredibly freaky!
Born and raised in Michigan, I'd heard many stories about dogman as a kid. I lived a very old town that's been around since the 1700s, and it's got some pretty morbid history. Lots of old cemeteries with unmarked graves in them that are sinking into the ground since the families have long since died out. If you go driving around in the surrounding counties, you'd encounter entire towns that were abandoned and rundown. Lots of weird noises and sounds that you'd hope are animals, also lots of trails that haven't been on walked in years. All in all, it was a pretty creepy place to live.
I was born and raised in the area of Michigan that the Dogman is in and I’m bummed he didn’t mention the song that created the legend. It started as an April Fools Day prank by a country radio DJ and it became a part of local culture. They’d play it on the radio every April 1st and every Halloween. My 7th grade English teacher wrote a few books about the Dogman.
I'm from maine, I had never heard of the specter moose! Very cool. I thought you might talk about the Palmyra wolves, MrBallen did a video about these and they sound terrifying!
Samezys
this vid made me subscribe I rly enjoyed it
A mothman like creaturw also appeared right before and little after the Chernobyl nuclear meltdown.
MINNESOTA!!! i'm so happy to see it talked about as someone who was born and raised there it was told in one of my schools about this folklore that in some cases kids shouldn't be outside in the dark during winter especially during a snow storm. it wasn't due to the obvious reason like kids getting lost or could die in the cold etc etc it was a darker reason than that, i don't remember much of what was told to us in school but it was interesting enough that i started reading up on folklore about it and in all honesty the cold dark nights of Minnesota are pretty terrifying i mean if you live in a city not so much (especially now) BUT when i was a kid Willmar was a small town with ALLOT and i mean ALLOT of tall trees and fields and when it got dark it got DARK and sometimes i would hear a whistle while walking around outside or hear a weird voice in the distance mind you i'm walking in fields that are WAAAAY taller than me like some fields were 6ft tall or higher and as a kid it made me more interested in the folklore surrounding it, point is Minnesota back then in the 90s was a fairly small place surrounded by folklore that's why i love it when people talk about this type of stuff it brings me back to the days when folklore in my little town was EVERYWHERE and were brought this creepy and dark feelings to it aw man i miss it
Fellow Minnesota kid here I wish I got to hear about the folklore around here while I was younger when living here
@@theorcapuppet4653 yeah the folklore of our minnesota is pretty fucking intense and has some wild stuff that it matches the style of minnesota perfectly with the abundance of nature
The fact we were born and raised in MN is super cool but also we have the scariest folklore ever. The fucking Wendigo.

I love you for the time stamps
The jackalope is a mythical animal of North American folklore described as a jackrabbit with antelope horns. The word jackalope is a portmanteau of jackrabbit and antelope. Many jackalope taxidermy mounts, including the original, are made with deer antlers.
theres actually a kinda easteregg of early taxedermy like that in red dead 2 jackolpe isnt even close to the weird is creature youll see but if just shows how strange taxedermy used to be
I absolutely love this video it’s so interesting. Here in Massachusetts we have what’s called “the bridgewater triangle” where a lot of high strangeness happening.. I contribute it to being one of the first colonies who had numerous battles with native Americans that were some of the bloodiest in history. I have personally witnessed strange things. We do have one thing we are known for lol Pukwudgies basically evil gnomes !
Evil Gnomes in Massachusetts??? Wow I hadn't heard of that one lol
I've heard stories about the birdwater triangle but I've never personally been in the woods there myself which is kind of funny because that technically is my extended backyard, sorta speak!
I used to live in the Bridgewater triangle, the schools in the town of Bridgewater used to do a little unit for the littler ones about folklore of bridgewater (source: i grew up there and was taught about it) i think the most famous thing we have is the ghost of the Hockomock swamp which was always a fun little thing to talk about by the campfire.
Same but I wouldn't know I live in central Mass. But I did hear about the Dover Demon and I know about the Bridgewater Triangle mainly because of Exploringwithjosh and because of just being curious of the scary and paranormal lore of Mass.
Its wild he didn't mention the Bridgewater triangle or pukwudgies. I'm from mass and have never heard of the dover demon. It's a pretty stupid story seeing how there was no evidence and the witnesses were teenagers.
The slide rock bolter honestly looks like a type of grabiod. Much more terrifying too
If you do another one of these videos for Illinois you need to cover the Big Muddy Monster it's infamous where I live.
Wow I’m surprised about California 😮. They look like my sleep paralysis entity. But I’ve also heard other people see things like this too. We’re all Californians btw.
I'm in northern Cali and I was expecting Bigfoot
@@spriken I’m from SoCal, and was expecting Big Foot or Aliens. Where I live, our scary stories are mostly about ghosts and murderers, we don’t have cryptids.
Ive seen one before at night. Its pretty freaky.
As someone from south Texas I can tell you that you can make a long video on mythical creatures in Texas alone! I’ve heard countless stories of ghost, vampires, chupacabra, werewolf’s, weird sea creatures, pterodactyls, fairies and yes even leprechauns!!!!! And once in awhile a big foot like thing!
Texas is wild!
In Fort Worth we have a Lake Worth monster which is some wierd ass version of big foot. Another place near me is called Goatmans bridge where a bunch of cults and witchcraft people go to.
@@boozledbamboozeler3822 i totally forgot to mention cults which results to demonic figures! Texas is so wild! 🙌🏻
As someone who lives in southeast texas we get a lot of reports of big foot and in my small town we have a local legend the (name of my town) phantom which is said to be a shapeshifting demon and the whole thing about it is that if you stare into the woods for too long at night you will see a pair of glowing red eyes stare back and after that it will stalk you and may try to kidnapp you or something like that it been years since i last heard of anyone seeing it. We have also gotten reports of the rougarou do to our close proximity to the swamps of Louisiana
I live in the panhandle of Texas and I love to hear stories about werewolves and chupacabras
I once shot a chupracabra 2 times. South of San Antonio, had to shoot it twice, once behind the shoulder and just in the ear hole with my 308. Only thing that I ever had to shoot twice in my entire life.
Strangely enough I called my friend to see it then we both left to get something to burn it because I thought it might be a really strange looking coyote with mange but I got back and couldn’t find the body just the blood puddle.
As someone from Wisconsin, the way you said Menominee is hilarious 😂. Fun video though!
Do you like to hear non Wisonsinites say cities Wausau,Atigo, etc.?

I live in Pennsylvania and this is the weirdest one, I've never seen anything like that, but there are Bigfoot, black dog, cannibal deer, sightings the most. I'm pretty sure only one person has seen a squonk 🤣
The Squonk is the most absurd one on the list and it speaks volumes about our state lmao

As a native Hawaiian, I’m gonna take a shot everytime someone brings up the Menehune or The night marchers 😂. It’s always those two supernatural beings but it’s never Nanaue (the shark man) or the Mo'o (gecko/dragon) or Kama Pua'a (the hog god). In my opinion, those three are a bit more scarier than the Menehune who are literally like the Hobbits and like to build stuff. 😂
Edit: forgot to say this: Great video, I actually enjoyed listening to the other states myths and stories and they were entertaining as well. ❤
Lol same, I've been playing the same game but I take a rip whenever it happens😂😂
They seem more like duendes to me
As an Oklahoman, I have never heard of an Oklahoma Octopus, but we do have this urban legend The Stikini : Stikini are shapeshifters who transform into owl-like creatures in the night
Interesting, I’m from central Mexico and we have the same thing, Las Lechusas, the folklore and the elders say they’re shapeshifting witches.
As someone who's lived in Georgia my whole life, I've never even heard of the Altamaha-ha, but I've heard of the Skunk Ape plenty. Even if it's the "state cryptid" of Florida a lot of swamps exist around south Georgia too and legends abound of it being found in this state. The single most detailed and convincing 'bigfoot' story I've ever heard was an alleged skunk ape encounter in Georgia too (highly reccommend Bob Gymlan on youtube for that and many ot hers)
Same here it’s the first time I’ve heard of the Altamaha-ha
I’m surprised you didn’t go with Champy for Vermont. But I’m stoked to hear a new one I hadn’t heard before. I grew up in New Hampshire and have never heard of the woods devil but there’s this creepy patch of woods near my dads house where all the trees stand perfectly straight. It creates this weird thing where you can see pretty deep into the forest from outside because of the way the trees stand so straight and tall but I’ve always had the creepiest feeling when I walk past it. Like something is in there. Maybe it’s a woods devil hiding tall and straight behind those trees.
If I remember correctly didn't both ny and vt make champ a protected species? I grew up in a town right on lake Champlain on ny side.
Yeah I’m surprised champ didn’t go for Vermont I live in Vermont and there’s a museum on the lake made that has a lot of stuff about champ and a the Burlington minor league baseball is the lake monsters with a champ mascot
I was aboard a cruise boat in Lake Champlain, fixing a piano that had fallen overboard. While I was working I heard the guide recount the whole spiel about the lake monster Champy. No one I know in Vermont ever saw Champy, and it's considered a bit of a joke by most--a tourist gimmick. The piano was a disaster of warpage and water damage, and I was seasick the whole time.
Snapped bro, would love to see a mini series with cities. 💪🏽
I like how you mentioned the hopskinsville Goblins only made a tape on a window and caused mass chaos by just being there 😂, I think they are cute
For the Hopkinsville Encounter in Kentucky, Steven Spielberg was going to make Et a monster movie about vicious little aliens that were not nice, and he was going to call it Dark Skies, later he made Gremlins
I just started watching this and I'm hooked. Glad to be a subscriber. I'm from Missouri and am very familiar with MoMo, who was last reportedly sighted as recently as about 15 years ago. I hope you'll make a video about each state's most haunted cemeteries and graveyards.
I'm not referring to the hoax footprint, either.
When I was a younger lad, I was OBSESSED with Cryptids, and I also am from Missouri so learning my home state had a Cryptid was awesome.
Momo?
I’ve been an Ohioan all my life, and I’ve Never heard of the Frogman. Honestly, I didn’t think Ohio had any cryptids of its own; I just thought we ended up borrowing Bigfoot for the more wooded areas of the state.
Lol, that's a good one. I'm from Kentucky and never heard of the one he was talking about here.
Yeah, I think Bigfoot has gotten so popular, many small town areas in the US now claim Bigfoot. I saw a lot of Bigfoot stuff when visiting the Appalachian mountains
who else skipped south dakota when they heard it wore a hat?
Nah all see is a Lego lightsaber, this man is a legend
You should look into the St. Marys Ohio myth, the Hodag. It's a small, not very well known cryptid, but as a local I love it. It's supposed to live in our lake
Same name, different creature@@karenbertke3149
rhinelander wisconsin has a hodag but it's not the same creature
St Mary's Pennsylvania has a hodag story aswell
Virginian here, I had only recently taken an interest and didn't know that the president even got involved with the Snallygaster, but we also have a ton of other cryptids that are much harder to tear out of Virginia's history that I think you could cover if you ever do a sequel for these, such as Chessie (chesapeake bay monster), Richmond Vampire, Richmond TV Man, Bunny Man, etc.
Snallygaster is a MD original, and this man putting disrespect on the name is saddening
As a Massachusetts woman, that lives in the dead middle of the woods, that gave me chills on my spine.
There is a song about the jersey devil and it's a good one. Great video
these videos are super dope bro, you’ll blow up really soon
The Bear Lake Monster is a being appearing in folklore near Bear Lake, on the Utah-Idaho border. The myth originally grew from articles written in the 19th century by Joseph C. Rich, a Mormon settler in the area, purporting to report second-hand accounts of sightings of the creature.
Minnesota is genuinely horrifying

I’m glad you mentioned Puerto Rico in the chupacabra one. Not many do thay
I was recently at Colorado and we were in Ouray. (Ouray is kinda close to Lizard rock. Also the place we were staying at had a clear view of Lizard rock.) We were at the hot springs in ouray and I'm looking at the mountain (which is well over 45°) and I see like something moving and like a light shining at it, I dont see a light but something is shining at it.(its about 8pm for reference). I showed my mom and she couldn't figure it out either. We keep looking at it till we left but since then we've never figured out what it was. I kinda assume it was an American flag since it seemed like it was waving but there was absolutely no way up the mountain. My mom and I still talk about it with our theories, I'll have to mention this creature and see what she thinks
One explanation for the Hopkinsville Goblins is that they were actually great horned owls. The described appearance is similar and it would explain the talons and abnormal movements.
I’ve never actually heard of these and I’ve lived in Kentucky for years
Did they not reportedly have a metallic ting when shot? Like a bucket
speaking of the mogollon monster i’ve been to sam spades ranch is located in The Boy Scouts Camp Named “Geronimo”
Dude, Mainer here, didn’t know we had an Elden Ring boss as a monster
As someone from California, this is the first time I'm hearing about "Dark Watchers"! 😆 I'm more familiar with the Bigfoot legend of course, but I'll say that given how large my state is-- it's split into three different parts: Northern, Central, and Southern California where I happen to be from, we probably have our own legends and ghost stories related to the area (like how Northern California has The Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, meanwhile out here in San Diego, we have The Whaley House. Then there's Fresno, CA in the San Joaquin Valley home to the Fresno Nightcrawler.)
NorCal here also more familiar w Bigfoot live near redwoods in mountain towns Bigfoot and lumberjacks are synonymous. Literally had a guy dressed as Bigfoot in the 4th of July parade and a Bigfoot museum somehow has stayed open for idk how many years.
What's the Whaley house? I just moved to San Diego!
San Jose is in Central California. Ik this bc I live a few hours from there.
Same. I'm from southern California and never heard of these. Lol. I saw a little elf man in my backyard when I was 6, though. My dog sensed him as well. 😢
Yeah, California native here and I've never heard of the dark watchers, despite living in the region of the Santa Lucia mountains for 10 years.
I love Squonks! I think they fall into the "so ugly it's cute" category (like pigeon squabs or any altricial bird really). I think that would make a Squonk happy, hence my username.
As a Texan, yes, I have heard of the Chupacabra, I found out about them in a movie called Chupa. The chupacabra in it did not have spiny things on its back, was a dog creature, with fur and wings.
Good video, I’m from North Dakota and have never heard of the thunderbird tho. Also there’s no wales or mountains in North Dakota so kinda confused on that but. Still an entertaining video!
I didn't think my state (Minnesota) would have anything too scary, turns out we have the Wendigo.
I’m from indiana and we have a big ass turtle that could actually exist. It’s an alligator snapping turtle and they can become old and big fuckers if left alone
Don’t want to run into that that’s for sure
The Oklahoma Octopus is likely just a large catfish. The catfish there get so big in those murky waters they can outright drag grown adults underwater and end you. Scuba Divers refuse to fix the dams in those lakes because of those monster catfish.
Giant Catfish, huh? I hope the local fishermen take precautions in those lakes.
Lol you should google Okie noodling @@danielcolon979

“And Mc Daniel grabbed his gun, as he should.” Absolutely loved that 😭👍
As a resident of new Jersey I have seen the jersey Devil. Me and my friend stopped on the side of the road to use the bathroom. My friend reported that he saw a goat like creature deep in the woods. My friend threw a rock at a tree nearby and we heard a high "piiiiiiipp" sound. We ran for the car and drove away. That night I had a nightmare of a goat chasing me around the forest.
I’m from Connecticut, and I’ve visited the Fairfield insane asylum. It is in the town called Newton. I only went there because the town hall in literally in the middle of the abandoned buildings. And my dad was sent there to do a job (title searching). Anyway, it felt very haunted in there. The floors were still the hospital tile and there were wheelchairs just left in the hallways, I guess for anyone who might need them if they come in. The building was staffed and had plenty of people working. While I was in the vault I kept hearing weird whispering and tapping, so I went to leave, but it felt the same throughout the place. Another title searcher gets sent there all the time, and told my dad and I there have been many times that a book across the room just slammed on the floor, or there was a random mind numbing scream. I kinda have an irrational fear of people from the insane asylum, so it was not fun that day. I never heard anything about the melonheads, but I’d still drive as fast as I could past that place.
Yooo another Connecticut person, I wanna go visit the Fairfield insane asylum but part of me is too scared to.

I had a dream like this too, but in Phoenix!!!!
As a Texan living near DFW in a rural town 1 hr away I have a story about the chupracabra (STORY: I was 8 at the time me and my stepbrother loved building bases one day we were on our bikes when we saw a path that led to a small area that had a target , shack made of pallets and a rusty table so when we got there we were having these on feelings until my stepbrother started screaming, but when I look up a shadow dissapears into the woods we were crying all night after that, the next day we found a bloody arrow, ripped shirt, and a old shovel .
Another story takes place a few months later, it was I was 9 now my stepbrother were going biking through our neighborhood it was wet due to mist and fog but I couldn't go because I lost my shoes so about an hour later my stepbrother bust through are door crying saying "WE HEARD SCREAMING" .Keep in mind they left there bikes there so me and my dad went to go get them, the next day my stepbrother take me there and this is what I heard "HAAHHHH-HAAHHHH OW OW OW OW OW HAA" kind of like the el chapo whistle I never went there again.
on an episode of a tv show spinoff of Ancient Aliens, In Search of Aliens , with Giorgio TSoukalos where he investigated the Lake Champlain monster and the Loch Ness monster, i suggest you watch that episode,

I didn’t even know my state had a cryptid until you told me about the Hopkinsville Goblin!
ive seen everyone from my state online in like the past 4 days
Lol same
Arkansas also has the white river monster it's described as being gray with a horn on its head, and having a 20 ft spiny back
this is insanely fun and interesting crazy video.
the Squonk is also the namesake of a track off of the first Genesis album with vocals entirely by Phil Collins, that being A Trick Of The Tail, & the track is absolutely awesome. I could go into detail about the history of the band & how it plays into this track, but just know Genesis started off as a progressive rock band in a similar vein to Yes & King Crimson, & would gradually become the most innovative pop band of the 80s, & in the middle of their career they were somewhat lost, but still awesome, & Squonk is a track from that era. Also, the bassline is absolutely fire, so i heavily recommend checking out the song even if you’re not a big fan of the band or haven’t even heard of them
i remember one year at lake tenkiller a fisherman caught a little baby red octopus at tenkiller using chicken liver. A bunch of federal people came over even the wildlife department did as well. They did clarify that it was a baby
I keep seeing that picture from the thumbnail everywhere. Where is that from? It's driving me crazy because I can't it.
As somebody who lives in Canada I see this as an absolute win
I'm from Oklahoma and I remember seeing a "Large Tentacle" at the middle of Ten Killer. I believe it.
The Shunka Warak'in, or Ringdocus, is a cryptid first mentioned in American folklore.

First sighting: Pre-1900's
Latest sighting: 2013
In ND, Though it's not well known, there is Miniwashitu, a creature that roams in the Missouri River. I've been told about it from locals in the town I live up here. Texas where I'm from I'm not surprised to see the cryptid used, we also have the Wampus Cat, Goatman and Beast of Bears. 😁 My parents are from Kansas and Sinkhole Sam, is a very good pick, my grandma talked about that one, also the bigfoot type and some weird flying dinosaur. Kansas is weird, we know 🤣 loved the video 💖 will be looking for more from you 🎉
Came to the Ohio stamp to hear about a corn cryptid, stayed for the frogman.
I actually live next to the Altamaha River and I’ve known about the Altamaha-ha for years but I never see anyone talk about it, it’s nice to hear it recognized
Honestly, the Indiana one could actually be a snapping turtle. The Alligator Snapping Turtle's range extends into Indiana, they can live a really long time (in captivity up to 70 years, but we have no idea their lifespan in the wild, but 80-120 is reported) and they can get HUGE! Like, literally hundreds of pounds and up to a meter long. So like, it would not at all be out of the realm of possibility for someone to have encountered a massive Alligator Snapping turtle, and then for someone else to encounter the same one 50 years later (and if not the same one, then another equally large turtle).
The most unbelievable facet of the Dover Demon story is the idea that three 17 year olds would use the word “galavanting”.
On county rd. 522 east of Stanton Michigan there is a roadside park that's not used much. One night there a young couple was parking and they heard something so she wanted to go. But, the thing is the car was completely surronded by trees. They had to leave threw the windows. The young man came back the next day with a crew of friends with tow truck and chainsaws. But the trees weren't there.
As a North Carolinan, I remember once my dad said he thought he saw a bigfoot stand next to the road which scared him, which he believes was real. I also remember my aunt and cousin saw a alien spaceship in the sky in front of my grandma's house when they were chilling outside. I myself never seen anything mythical but I wish to see aliens or something.
I used to live in Illinois as a 3 year old and I was also born there. It’s very scary knowing that the creature lives there. Also being from missouri, this creature doesn’t sound as creepy because it just stalks you. There is another legend from Missouri call the Ozark howler, it’s honestly very cute and it has been caught on video soo.
You look like a baby Charlie Sheen🤣 love it. thank you for a wonderful cryptid video
Could you do one on the J'ba FoFi. Pretty please. It's a big as spider that lives in the congos with local stories and everything.
Love stuff like this. How imagination mixes with time to create magical legends. Fun to think about
