Just a heads up, I won't have a 3rd upload today.
I do have another report today but I decided not to release it in video form, only in a report on Nyannet. For anyone interested in that news, it's the same as what was posted in the community tab; "The Founder of âBlack Lives Matter Tokyoâ is a 19 Year-old Art Student from the United States"

@@artryg0n497 I think these are unwritten rules for artist. I mean anyone should know not to take someoneâs art and âfixâ it. Itâs common decency to not do it.
Drawing a slim person is not body-shaming. Redrawing a slim person as chubby and claiming it's "fixed" IS body-shaming.
Fanart exists, if they want to make their own version then go ahead, but why diss the original?

Especially saying 'She looks NORMAL now.' Like it's funny how many SJWs are saying 'there's so many thin people in cartoons/tv shows, it makes little chubby girls feel not normal :(' and then proceed to do the exact same to ACTUALLY normal girls. Obesity isn't normal (though you may think otherwise if you're American, unfortunately I work fast food and see that it may sway) and even if it was, it isn't healthy. It doesn't matter if you think you're happy, since if you're not healthy you won't be feeling happy for very long.
"I don't like this character'a body style, so I have to make it everyone else's problem."
Also, I love the "obesity isn't normal in Japan" part. THANK YOU. Just because in the states, that's can "normal" body type, doesn't mean that everywhere else consumes 25 McDonald's triple cheeseburgers a day.
I also find the second one hilarious. I personally think Usuki looks like a fucking rat, but that person claims they "made it better" and whole I agree that the original doesn't look 20, I can also say that the redraw takes any charm the original has an flushes it down a gas station toilet. That redraw is horrendous.... It looks like a Disney villain from the 80s...
The worst part is that only around 40% of the US population is obese
That means that the majority of people don't fit the "norm"
Any situation where the majority doesn't fit the norm is bad, take gender roles as an example
I like how you assumed that what was normal was her obese body type, not the proportions, where irl youâre BARELY gonna come across a petite body with fucking G cups
I'm so embarrassed to be American when we do stuff like this and expect to get away with it, we're the most hypocritical population on the planet, everything's racist except when they do it. everything's sexist except when they do it, everything is cultural appropriation except when they feel like its not

But its twitter they're obviously gonna find something to complain about
As an artist I find people who âfixâ a design or character kinda weird. Because like,, I know for a fact if someone did that to my character Iâd feel disheartened after putting months upon months into them, their personality, design, etc etc only for some rando to do such a thing. If you want to change a fictional characters race, gender, design, build, outfit, eyecolor, go for it I donât care! Art is fun! Make what you want! Just donât say that youâre FIXING it, especially if youâre changing something essential to said character such as their culture or any of the things previously listed.
I donât think people realize that even if a character from something is popular, thatâs someoneâs OC, their baby that they poured so much time into to get them to that point of being popular.
I completely agree. As someone going to school for graphic design (not an expert, I'm on the high school level), I put alot of time into my character designs and backstories, especially if I plan to use the character for public usage (ex. Roleplay, story writing, etc).
I have a character whose a skeleton-dragon-human hybrid (50% skelly, 30% drago, 30% human). If i were to post it somewhere and someone took my design and made it completely human, disregarding everything that makes him special, and said "i fixed your art. Its normal now", I would likely be ready to fight someone. You can't fix art, or fix a design. That's not how it works, ESPECIALLY in the world of famous animation.
Redesigns aren't the problem- they can actually be alot of fun to do. (For example, I've created ALOT of AUs, and I loved my designs for them). These people want to think they can get praise for being rude, but they don't realize their just giving the source material (which I'm assuming they dislike from how it's being insulted) more viewers. You don't have to like art or characters, you just have to respect the hard work and dedication that it took to create the characters.
(Typing this out on no sleep lol. Feel free to ask me to elaborate on things.)
as someone who watches a lot of anime, is obese and dark skinned, i would honestly love to see more diversity, but you don't obtain diversity by "fixing" designs. it's okay if it was fanart, but you don't get to shame an artist like that D:
Problematic designs exist, but it's not your problem to solve, it's someone's original art ffs
Agree, good news is that Twitter is the minority crazy and alot of people of all sizes and color agree with you.

Put your diversity in the trash, please, when it comes to anime. Let me educate you: it is not your place nor are you entitled to diversity in another countries media. That Elma redesign proves they don't know anything about the character. They changed her horn into two oni horns, gave her a devil tail, and made her trident elaborately engraved. _She's a sea serpent dragon and her trident is actually the end of her tail, literally a part of her body._
"and I made her actually 20 years old" Has this person watched ANY anime at all?
âHer design is gross and unrealistic!â
To every young girl out there who was thin and developed early, Iâm sorry these people exist. Youâre not gross. Your body is valid and thereâs nothing wrong with you. Most people your age who tease you will do so cause youâre different, and some may be jealous. Adults will blame you for things far outside your control. Donât listen to any of it! Youâre normal and it will all be ok.
Edit; lotta yâall seem confused by this message so let me explain. I was the kid who had C cups in 5th grade. I WAS this girl. Iâm not saying this character isnât sexualized in her show. HOWEVER the criticisms of her design are what Iâm talking about. MANY of the people criticizing her design openly admitted to having to seen the show. And the people redesigning her called her DESIGN gross and unrealistic, not the actions happening to her. If you donât like the character thatâs one thing, but saying her design is sexualized ainât it. Being thin with big boobs IN NO WAY makes you inherently sexual or bad. Having big boobs and being thin doesnât in any way make you unrealistic.
I've seen girls developed early and have big breast getting bullied at school. It's very unfortunate...
@@Mimi-wv5rg I was one of those girls. I started developing when I was 9 1/2 and was bullied a lot by other girls. I was also the target of...comments from boys. By eighth grade, I was a D cup. I wasnât extremely buxom, but I was still stared at a lot by boys. Fun times, but the fact of the matter is skinny yet buxom girls do exist. Weâre not aliens. đ Itâs just our genetics. They shouldnât hate us for how we are born.
To be fair, this is a college student in the show. It is highly unrealistic, especially in Japanese culture, to have someone as petite as Uzaki with that large of breasts. Not impossible but unrealistic. What I feel like a lot of people find annoying is that they use her body as a point of fanservice (which is already common) but sadly they hardly ever have any realistic body designs for women- leading younger women to feel like that's what they should look like when it's so unrealistic that it just won't happen. I dont agree with calling her "normal" now or shaming the artists original work- but there is nothing wrong with saying "this body type isn't common in this age of character and I feel like this would be a more accurate representation"
@@Stellumine I think young women who watch a lot of anime would be smart enough to know that all design characters in anime are creative choices from the author.you said it's not impossible but unrealistic right? Which mean there are minority of real women with that type of body indirectly bullied by people who don't like uzaki's design. And also , there are many male designs that also very unrealistic to their age, and they never get called out fot it.
If the complain is for it being too fancervice-y, and worry they will sexualized women IRL, i'm pretty sure majority of fans know how to differentiate real women and their beloved 2D waifus
I think people that often complain about unrralistic chqracter design is having difficulties to differentiate fiction 2D super stylized cartoon show, with real life. Or maybe this is western culture? Because most of the time, the one that having outrage is someone from America or other western countries. Only case of outrage that came from outside western country i can remember was when one pokemon fanart from japanese artist getting "white washed" and some artists from malaysia giving an "art education" about how skin color and lighting works, even then it originally started from US twitter users first.
@@Mimi-wv5rg as a woman with large breasts it very much so annoys me that every large breast-ed woman is also impossibly skinny and small, when most of the women I know are generally the same body type as I am. I have the same problem with men's body types, especially when they're supposedly realistic representations of high school students otherwise. It doesn't directly matter if it's 2D when it's such a large media source. And I promise you that there are some people who cannot distinguish 2D and 3D as the joke "screw 3D i have my 2D waifus" and Japan has one of the lowest child birth rates in the world partly for this reason. As I said, I dont really care about this whole situation, but pointing out that this very rare body type that typically comes from years of plastic surgery playing it as realistic is not very good.
Imagine the photoshop done to models in the real world and how unhealthy it is to look up to those women because they are basically fake. It's the same thing, just one is animated one is a person.
