When he asked "Issue to bol do" it touched my heart. I was remind of
my situation when I got conferenced out from my SSB interview. 6 times CO.Each time I was like "Issue to bol do. Akbar bol do. Jan laga dunga".And thus came my last attempt on 21st Jan 2022.Again I couldn't make it. I lost my dream. But here is the thing, the journey was so beautiful and it taught me a lot of things, it helped me connect with lots of people. It helped me improve my personality. It made a better person. And it will always be a part of my life. May be I can't be a soldier. But dil se fouji rahunga always .

Being passionate in such a way for upsc is also not healthy. I've spent 5 years So i know.

Yup, Aniket would have been people’s favourite had he been selected few years ago. But Raghu was right - he has to now let it go. It’s been a very long time. Being a Roadies has become his obsession instead of a passion. And Raghu said that very honestly to him that he, at the end of the day, was making a show that needs the participants to be expressive and entertaining to the viewers so that more people watch his show. Perhaps, he didn’t see that in Aniket. I feel so sorry for him but we don’t usually get everything in life that we are passionate about.

Ten years down the memory lane..
Exactly ten years ago on 21-11-2012 this all happened in hyderabad casa luxuria hotel... This is my personal interview video from roadies x hyderabad auditions.. In this Me, Ninad, Gaurav, Fatima, Aniket, Anuroop and 7 other contestants got thru for the hyderabad personal interview round from a crowd of nearly 10k .. The way they showed in the audition was just a small part.. People don't know the reality behind a reality show... Yes guy whom we are seeing " Aniket Halgekar" Is a very dear friend of mine who had been auditioning for 9 years..We both met in the personal interview for the first time n still in the talking terms.. Yes the guy was deserving enough not because he had been trying from past 9 years.. It's all about the passion and love we guys have for this name "ROADIES".. Aniket was the winner of roadies battleground 1 and roop was the runner up (season 6- Hell Down Under) from where they picked Roop in the show (ROADIES-6 HELL DOWN UNDER)..
Aniket and I was the favorite among the 13 selected pi contestants from the hyderabad.. But as what we all saw in the audition video Raghu sir and Rannvijay said no to him... He got all the respect, but the question is? Is it worth it? He is deserving enough to be on the show.. You killed his dream.. Didn't see his ability , his love for the show
I'm writing this all after reading people commenting on this behalf
They did such things a lot in the auditions.. Viewers don't know the exact reality behind this.. They picked stand by's as well..
Yes I was the selected contestant from this hyderabad audition.. My interview was on CZcams years back.. But after Raghu and Rajiv.. They shifted everything to voot n all the others auditions videos got blocked on CZcams..
I love Raghu n Rajiv n so do the other contestants those who understand the real meaning of this show.. But they are business minded people they don't care about your sentiments, your emotions.. All they want is trp.. They made a sad story to said no to aniket.. Aniket himself told me when he came back front the interview
Even I had an interview of 2.3 hours.. N I got thru..i was the only one contestant selected from hyderabad.. But they picked gaurav as a stand by against me for the journey just two days before the journey.. Whose image they portray as a bit negative on the show..
Same thing they did with me in the pune auditions for x1 RIDE FOR RESPECT...
I'm writing all this just to let people know what is the real reality behind this all.. Yes the interviews were real.. Show was real that time.. Situations were made according to that.. But what they did with me and aniket.. Many selected contestants faced the same thing... Being selected for the show n not to be on the journey... At the end they create a show the way they want.. They need different characters to portray ...
But back then it was Raw and Real

And thank you for disclosing that old roadies was real and not scripted. This makes seeing the interview so much better, it's such a great learning experience too. It's sad that it will never be the same again. Sometimes I wish to have been born in the 90s just to try for old roadies. The interview part is so, so good.
Good luck to you and aniket. I hope you're both in a good position in your life right now. I hope aniket got over it and didn't take this as a personal defeat. It's nothing to do with him. He's just genuine. And he's a good person. He's not a cartoon like they wanted in their TV show lol.
Take it in writing. If they would have shortlisted Aniket, he would have won the show & become one of the most successful Roadies ever. Aniket truly had the passion !!
