I think a kinda cool idea for woth is if they add like a Africa map they make a “grand lodge” that’s either 5 dollars or 20k in game dollars, and you can put any animal from any map in there and it’s super big.

Would love to see you try to hunt some wolves and black bear, I’ve found them to be quite a bit trickier to locate and get shots on than other animals. Makes it feel very realistic
P.s. I just shot a 469 5 star moose after many many hunts along the swamp carrying the 300. Absolutely stunning. Hoping to see more styles of 4 or 5 star racks for all animals though

I've got 3 5 star Mountain goats watched two of them grow in the same herd
Curious if you have been brave enough to let them continue to grow as 5 stars so if genetics are high they would be likely to score closer to that 500 mark. Right now is risky because no one seems to know enough about when they die :p

That first deer hit the low shoulder/arm solid and only gave you one lung. Bullet stopped short in the cavity of the deer.
My five star Mule Buck was more likely a test of patience and stalking in a slow way if you ask me.

5 star wolf would be awesome
I wouldn't worry about the "slow" too much. Cause "fast" in the game means it still walk a few meters. It's relative.
What's important is the air bubbles, pink and 0-50m. That's 99% of the time a lung shot and it'd die relatively fast.
Spotted a 5* mature moose at the 12hr mark, got the perfect shot off, while tracking blood it just stopped, then the blood disappeared. I rage quit and loaded the game back up today, the moose was on the ground right in front of me ready to be claimed. On ps5 btw
The blood disappearing happened to me earlier today. Thankfully I found it not too far from my last marking points.

Now I know we haven’t found everything out about the game but I’m pretty sure herds have only two different drinking zones,I found a lake on the far left side of nez perce and it has the same heard of bighorn and mountain goat there literally every time,have two drink zones from each at that one small lake ,one often one rarely

Wolves just because I always seem to spook them and then they've gone.
I would personally like to see a black bear hunt one because black bears are awesome and 2 because I am having alot of trouble finding them in games

I was just walking around collecting need zones and out from a bush about 90m away is a five star moose that is 2 points TWO! away from a perfect I freaked out when I took him down I was so hyped

What about a night hunt ? The flashlight has a poor range and there isn't night vision scope at the moment so it might be too hard but that's sounds cool nonetheless right ?

For some reason (nah, the reason is the damn savefile corruption) I still can't find even a 4 star animal. So I just pick the skinniest oldest animal I can and get rid of it. Is shooting deer with a tier 6 rifle a bad thing though? I find it a bit weird to shoot it with a rifle designed for moose, bears and such.
Anybody else have blood trails disappear on them? Happens quite often to me on ps5
Hope they have a lot of (all) the PS5 bugs ironed out by the time I get a PS5 yikes! I've heard complaints on blood with a PS5 user but mostly hearing about people loosing their save game data after 49 kills (info on that sourced from the official discord apparently). I'm still trying to figure out how to get/find them (newbie to discord).
So friendly word to the wise, I'd be cautious about going past 49 kills until you hear confirmation that issue has been fixed or risk loosing all of your progress.

Exactly. I saw that there is a pack of wolfs down the river where you find the white-tailed Holywood but twice I fail to track them whatsoever after making a shot.

I think he hit it. Just not very good. It definitely hesitated and hunched a bit. Maybe it hit far back and high or something similar.
@@cadenkempe5281 i looked again and slowed it down, bullet was on trajectory, but i dont think the game registered it as a hit because no blood splattered, he didnt really hunch, and when he was running away he was running normal but i do agree he did pause longer than all the other deer like he was stunned before running off
I just got way of the hunter and just got the 243 and the 14x sight. What’s the next gun I should buy?
I think I’ll get the 308 because I want to do some moose hunting for cash but I’ll mainly worry about deer

Dude there are Diamonds everywhere in cotw if you grind well. 5 stars in woth are much harder to find and to kill imo

The big antlered mule deer and white tails look weird af in this game. Idk why every one keeps saying they look good.
This game is unrealistic in the fact of the animals not being spokey enough standing up in an open field doesn’t scare them and shooting close to another herd doesn’t spoke them.
If people p it this much time in real life activities they would have a lot of money and a good job or these actual animals on their walls instead of a game lol.. hunting is an amazing thing.. get out there and actually do it.. lol
