This reminds me of my teenage years. My dad had one of these (C5 Quattro, 2.5 TDI, Automatic) and I think I'll never ever forget the sound of this engine.
@@avinii proper maintainance does a lot. The 2.5 was notorious for problems. But maintain it a bit more regularly and you have a good car. I had a passat 1.9. And i was stupid to get rid of it
+Marcin SAWEGR I've just got one with a 2.5 TDI a avant. Those engine at idle sounds so loud, nothing to compare with a 2.4 2.6 or 2.8 Audi petrol engine (unless you step on the gas) but at idle, damnit man I freaking love that sound.
Dragan Vidovic ja ti govorim iz svoga iskustva..bjezi od tog...nikad mira snjim nisa imao...rjec je o A8 180 konja,186000 razletio se motor na tehnickom,platim generalnu,rjesim sve,na 210 000 zvekne mjenjac aut.. Manje kvarove nisam naveo :)
@@ilirprenrecaj737 Znam da onaj od 110kw/150 ks ima problem sa bregastim,a ovi jači bi trebalo da su ok,osim što im je skupo održavanje i hoće da potroše,pogotovo ako je automatik.
Ja imam ovakvog 2.5tdi 180ks radjeni servisi redovno ima oko 360k predjenih kilometara i pre dve nedelje mi u putu crkne menjac a i bregasta se cuje u motanju ali je auto siguran i pozdan nema sta nikad ga ne bi prodao za bilo koju cenu
Later engines had roller cam followers instead of the earlier flat fingers that wore camshafts bad luckily I have a late engine BDG but as you say all sound absolutely fantastic

AKN is not modified and the AFB is modified with stronger camshafts, my AKN is modified with stronger cams
