It is a shame what's happening with the Lakers; it seems to me that all they care about is to have LeBron with them because he (supposedly) puts fans in the seat and get the media attention. Is that it? The team has 40 nationally televised games every year because he's in the roster and they really don't care if like they did this year they are so bad that they have to get into the playoffs via the play in tournament only to get the out quickly in the first round?
Because that's the only way all these maneuvers to keep LeBron happy make sense. There is no way in hell that basketball wise he justify his current salary. You paid that amount of money to someone that can carry the team and if you have someone like AD in your roster you have to guarantee at least a trip to the conference finals.
A serious organization would refocus on building around AD as the only true star in that team; I don't know enough about how these things work, but if they are able to trade LeBron or just let him go and use the cap space to get someone that can help the team now, they should do that. LeBron is certainly not worth what he's being paid and all the headaches that come with having him on the roster.
